For general kit use under $50 I’d almost go with a gerber freeman guide or buck 877. $75 I’d go with a kbar or a buck nighthawk. I’m not super familiar but ESSE makes some really really good options under $100

Personally new schrades are meh at best, they’re serviceable but the steel and quality is meh

And moras are simple and no frills, but they have a good grind and decent steel
