So what youre saying is I should scrap my DPMS 😬
Yeeeeeeah they're not exactly decent
C is around where serviceable is, though I'd argue spikes should be up there on C depending on the components
I think that second list isn’t the best
I like the first list
Yeah i don't agree with some of the stuff on the second list
I thought Colt was more paying for the roll mark than a actually decent rifle
Guess i could build another
Old colts were decent but they have shit qc these days
Why are they high tier or C lol
So honest question, I'm still learning a good bit, what makes a rifle shit tier vs. God tier
Specs? QC?
Materials?
Tolerances, material quality, and qc
And actually being *designed* not just slapped together
Building things to an actual spec
The super high end stuff you're paying for the tight tolerances and extensive qc. Middle of the road stuff has tolerances that won't cause your rifle to fail and don't make it out of the factory with defects
Some companies you’re also paying for the R&D of enhancements
Low end stuff has uhhhh
That makes sense. I just wasnt sure what was actually considered good vs. bad. I have around 1000rds through my current DPMS and havent had a jam but I also dont drag ir through the mud or anything like that. But, it looks like I'm going to be building another
I tend to tell people:
People with fiats are screaming when I suggest Toyota because they think I'm telling them to buy a lambo
Oh no, i get it. That's why I'm here
Hey KAC can I have a stripped upper or a receiver set? No? Okey.....
You can get stripped legacy KAC stuff
It seems a lot of higher end brands don't like selling components
I talked to some of those guys about that. You can get that stuff. They won’t list it/make it easily available, because then a bunch of people will bitch about their unreliable “KAC” guns, that where built completely out of spec
I have two major and one minor thing when it comes to firearms.
I'm poor so i buy parts one at a time.
I have very specific requirements for every build.
And I just enjoy assembling them
I totally understand not wanting some dude with a gucci receiver set and a psa barrel with a crooked gas block out there
So what I'm hearing is go for an HK 416
If you want a heavy, overgassed, expensive gun that handles mud worse than a di ar15
Ok... so is anything right...
Joking but at the same thing I would have fun with that
Is that... an M1 carbine...?
100% no but at the same time somewhat yes
I'm on an email list for when a receiver set comes back in stock, which is both more affordable than noveske but also more gucci, though from looking around online, I think I have about as much chance of getting my hands on one as Hillary has becoming president
Y'all 😂
I just want a decent AR 😂
Most ar's are out of stock with how crazy things are right now
