Yep. Second brigade at Bragg

2020-05-07 23:37:47 UTC

Nice AK dude

2020-05-07 23:37:59 UTC

nevermind guess it didn't copy the damn link

2020-05-07 23:38:06 UTC

And it refreshed so its been lost

2020-05-07 23:38:28 UTC

I would love to shorten my AK barrel a little, but I don't wanna deal with that shit.

2020-05-07 23:38:41 UTC

This would have been before 4th brigade split to the other three.

2020-05-07 23:39:03 UTC

Remember, if it's a side folding pistol brace, it's a pistol

2020-05-07 23:39:12 UTC

Yeah, when I was in, we have 4 brigades combine and disband to just 2

2020-05-07 23:39:22 UTC

My AK is an Underfolder

2020-05-07 23:40:36 UTC

82nd only has 2 brigades now?

2020-05-07 23:40:42 UTC

No, I was 1ID

2020-05-07 23:40:59 UTC

I think 82nd should still have... 3?

2020-05-07 23:41:17 UTC

So when I graduate and become a LEO do I leave, or do you guys throw me out? Or are forest rangers exempt?

2020-05-07 23:41:35 UTC

As long as you're on our side, you're fine.

2020-05-07 23:41:35 UTC

Ah. Yeah it shocked me that the 508th PIR got split to 3 brigades.

2020-05-07 23:42:00 UTC

I don't hate all law enforcement so long as they aren't tyrants. But overall, I distrust them.

2020-05-07 23:42:24 UTC

That's fair, I don't trust cops either

2020-05-07 23:43:35 UTC

Forest rangers are kind of a weird gray area.

2020-05-07 23:44:59 UTC

But the job of a LEO in the US is *literally* nothing other than enforcing the will of the state on citizens, and extorting them for money, or locking them in cages for possession of whatever they deem bad this year.
Not to mention the long and continuous history of LEO doing little to nothing helpful and violently abusing the citizenry.

2020-05-07 23:46:02 UTC

Tree cops can shove it.

2020-05-07 23:46:02 UTC

Cops aren’t bad because some of them do bad things. Cops are bad because every single one of them has voluntarily agreed to enforce the will of the state with violence, and continued to do so when the will of the state is both immoral and unconstitutional

2020-05-07 23:47:32 UTC

I mean that's fair, I just like nature. I want to get paid for being outside

2020-05-07 23:48:01 UTC

I'm more of in the middle... Rangers can be good, but they can also be bad. Taking care of nature is good. When you start to act as law enforcement just because a few kids wanna sit around and fish and maybe have a couple beers. I don't like that. Tell them to clean up, but otherwise let them be.

2020-05-07 23:48:16 UTC

There are weird forest service jobs that are like technically LE but just like watch trees and shit

2020-05-07 23:49:59 UTC

I mean, I hate litterers with a passion. And I do believe in anti-poaching laws.

2020-05-07 23:50:59 UTC

We have to manage the population of prey animals, or we would hunt them to the brink.

2020-05-07 23:52:25 UTC

If people are hunting for sport, yeah I get that. But if they are actually trying to get food, or out there bushcrafting, I think that's just life.

2020-05-07 23:52:36 UTC

The reason I said that, is because I have a suppressor that is legal in Idaho. But it doesn't follow federal law.

2020-05-07 23:53:00 UTC

Fuck it, suppressors shouldn't be regulated.

2020-05-07 23:53:14 UTC

They do nothing but protect your ears.

2020-05-07 23:53:35 UTC

I think you should be able to buy them over the counter, like any other earpro

2020-05-07 23:53:36 UTC

It's hard to tell the difference though. I agree with you, but I know folks that shoot 8 deer every year, and don't like the taste. They claim its for flod though.

2020-05-07 23:53:59 UTC

There is a statute in Idaho law that says if it's made in Idaho, stays in Idaho, and isn't bought, transferred, or sold, NFA regulations don't apply.

2020-05-07 23:54:17 UTC

Wait, really?

2020-05-07 23:54:24 UTC

Suppressors shouldn't be regulated in any way.

2020-05-07 23:55:03 UTC

And a nice little piece in that statute says that any federal agent that tries to implement federal law that violates state is subject to a fine and imprisonment

2020-05-07 23:55:31 UTC

I love that....

2020-05-07 23:55:40 UTC

I almost wanna move to potato-land

2020-05-07 23:56:13 UTC

So I'm fine with everywhere in the state, but tree cops can be an issue being that they're federal agents.

2020-05-07 23:56:40 UTC

Oh, im going to be a state ranger
