G3s are cool but i wish i'd have gotten an AR10

Do you wish for the ar10 just for options on parts ? I want the rifle with closed off parts it rains a lot here and I'm prone to treat things like I don't love them

PTRs are accurate but if you get good shit you can get an AR10 sub-moa

and let me tell you something about cleaning

G3s are a *whore* to clean

and because they're roller delayed blowback, you need to clean them every 500rds or so

i shoot 1 mag and the thing is completely filthy

The roller wears on those as well dint they? I'm more of a bladed weapons nerd than firearms

@NwSamsquatch Hunter the rollers will last forever, dw about that. the gun just gets disgusting after a while

and you have to rotate the bolt, that's under spring pressure, to clean it... so

that and the gun is really hard to reach inside of to clean the actual receiver body

all that said, the gun is a dream to shoot and i love it to death

G3 mags are about $5 a piece, and i got a bulk deal for 19 mags for $3 a piece after i got it
