Because it doesn't matter what's true, it matters what people think is true. Public opinion about the group has been formed, and once the public announces their perceptions of you, it's set in stone.

Don’t get me wrong. We are down to ride but we have come to terms that the way it was going wasn’t going anywhere

So now we are a reformed group of like minded individuals that share the same beliefs about the constitution and declaration

We gotta change public opinion. Public opinion changed on the covid crisis and it can change for us
