pretty rich coming from Arghoslent too

2017-02-24 14:31:07 UTC

neither have any imagination, they are automatons

2017-02-24 14:31:22 UTC

just "doing things"

2017-02-24 14:31:35 UTC

and arguing with each other if one "thing" is more proper than the other "thing"

2017-02-24 14:32:01 UTC

blind men arguing over colour schemes

2017-02-24 14:32:39 UTC

even completely nonserious thrash bands from the 80s had that fire that is now missing

2017-02-24 14:32:57 UTC

Kaeck, I spit on this mockery

2017-02-24 14:33:32 UTC

Like someone trying to make a human being by sewing together various organs

2017-02-24 14:33:36 UTC

and the end product looks convincing

2017-02-24 14:33:43 UTC

but isnt alive

2017-02-24 14:33:50 UTC

that's Kaeck

2017-02-24 14:34:29 UTC

these bands make metal, not music

2017-02-24 14:34:58 UTC

they test themselves via a previously established standard, "metal" for them seems to have escaped its meaning

2017-02-24 14:36:26 UTC

but even if all the creators were to fall, it would be fine if the audience remained discerning

2017-02-24 14:37:04 UTC

it's okay if everyone lies, but it's not okay if everyone says lies are better than truth, a good thing

2017-02-24 14:50:28 UTC

Got time off to go to the everglades

2017-02-24 14:50:40 UTC

Anyone got dead bodies that need to be disposed of?

2017-02-24 15:02:23 UTC

@fallot yeah kaeck is lame

2017-02-24 15:08:31 UTC

@spaceplacenta young men's organization for democracy over stupidity.

2017-02-24 15:14:19 UTC

yeah @spaceplacenta one guy, trouble is he doesnt know he's dead

2017-02-24 15:14:30 UTC

big guy, texan, you'd like him

2017-02-24 15:29:54 UTC

It's not even that the audience is not discerning. Everyone I talk to about metal outside this circle KNOWS what is derivative and what not. They just don't care. They genuinely love metal music and seek out the experience of it.

No amount of bullying or rationalization affects them. The standard response is: "yeah that's true, so what, I like it."

I think some people just get off yelling into a void.

2017-02-24 15:39:23 UTC

the problem is that most "metalheads" in the scene are really just posers

2017-02-24 15:44:38 UTC

I'm sure they genuinely love the metal experience

2017-02-24 15:44:46 UTC

I dont begrudge people their simple pleasures

2017-02-24 15:45:01 UTC

yea, but it incorporates the cancer of metal as well

2017-02-24 15:45:06 UTC

> slipknot

2017-02-24 15:45:07 UTC

yeah, that stuff is fine

2017-02-24 15:45:15 UTC
2017-02-24 15:45:18 UTC

IN CONTEXT

2017-02-24 15:45:44 UTC

obviously they do, but for the wrong reasons

2017-02-24 15:47:27 UTC

Slipknot is not a cancer I think

2017-02-24 15:47:34 UTC

this kind of thing, I don't like it

2017-02-24 15:47:40 UTC

it may be representative of a wider issue

2017-02-24 15:47:43 UTC

but it's not that big a deal

2017-02-24 15:48:03 UTC

this stuff is obvious

2017-02-24 15:48:18 UTC

the problem is "sell in" stuff, stuff that is "true" in attitude but sucks

2017-02-24 15:48:26 UTC

and is accepted because its true in attitude

2017-02-24 15:48:32 UTC

and no one realizes what sucks anymore

2017-02-24 15:48:55 UTC

and by extension, what doesn't suck either

2017-02-24 15:49:11 UTC

so bands that do actually succeed end up ignored, because pretty much no one seems to know the difference
