and begin to more stringently measure people
no offense
He is.
on what do you base that?
the IQ test is not a great measure
well, it's pretty good
past 130-140 or so it doesn't tell you much
yeah
a person can be high IQ and still retarded
<-
poor functioning, poor thought processes
extreme high IQ people start to develop qualitative differences, like super memory or ESP-like intuition or weird stuff like that, but in between doesn't really matter much
what does it matter in most cases if it takes you 0.1 second or 0.05 seconds to think through some basic problem correctly? IQ is after all a measure of processing power over time
people with low IQ are either significantly slow at thinking (the origin of the term "retarded") or have actual errors analogous to brain damage so they draw the wrong conclusions about even simple things
but as long as people draw the right conclusions about simple geometric relations, past an SD or two above average it's not super important
comprehension and logic and lateral thinking etc. then become more important in making a wise, capable human
IQ fetishism is autism for people who like simple linear measures
that's why in the mental section of HQI, if IQ is even known I only look for like 120-130 and after that score based on how functional of a human they seem like
@Deleted User 57835c2c also for vain people who like to jerk themselves off
yeah
I mean ultimately the point of IQ is to better be able to interact with the outside world
but even that is a poor/incomplete measure of cognition
in order for someone to think about anything, they have to first collect data from their environment passively (being observant) and actively (curiosity), then hold all of that data in their head (accurate mental model, capacity for holding multiple data in mind at once), assimilate the new data without making logical errors, and then perform complex mental operations on it to create a new, updated mental model of their world. Then while holding that mental model in mind, they have to brainstorm possible courses of action they could take within it, which requires induction and likely also lateral thinking to generate possible solutions, then deduction and intensive mental modeling of outcomes for many parallel solutions to arrive at their decision of what to do
so when a smart person "thinks," they run like a dozen processes in sequence and in parallel
laying it out that way should make it pretty obvious that this whole process is only as strong as its weakest link
that's part of why I look at overall human functionality and at any ability to produce real world results
a lot of ivory tower lefty retards for example have genius IQ, and are able to execute half of that process great but do a really shoddy job of vetting data to incorporate into their mental model of the world, so it all amounts to shit for that one weak point
or then there are nerds in various right wing think tanks who can crunch a phenomenal amount of data and appear to understand it, yet cannot come up with a practical solution to even small scale problems
to me those people are genetic spare parts
Oh wow
yeah cool man
@diversity_is_racism http://www.amerika.org/politics/raising-home-ownership-among-minorities-caused-the-subprime-crisis-and-great-recession/ Until you wrote this, I was the only person I knew of to ever go there, and I did it on a secret blog
I explained in detail on my secret blog how there was a direct causal relation between beaners existing and 2008 recession
Are you suggesting we slaughter all beaners
Because I've been suggesting that for quite some time
in a perfect world, of course I am
sorry for the POC pics
back in the romney/obama election year there were spergs openly saying online that they were voting for obama because he's black, and I responded by saying I'm only voting for romney because he's white. They were like "why does that matter???" and I said "Simple - he's the same as me, so he's probably a good person. Obama is different from me, so I hate him."
