That’s not really a big deal, doesn’t affect much.
The only, distant issue, really, is if the virus mutates to modify the dna of what consumes the plants.

Currently there is no data to predict whether or not that will happen, but it is possible and has a very slim chance (but still very real chance) of happening.
And on the off chance it did, or on the off chance it ends up weaponized to do so, it will suck rather significantly.

@Quorum the video you posted is utter bullshit. They are fear mongering climate change and pretending maybe gmo crops will save the biosphere when the evidence shows the opposite. Then they said the video took 600 hours to make and asked for money. That was nothing more than propaganda disguised in a cartoon.
