there are less palatable elements such as occultism etc. I am ignoring
this is just the simple take
you think this is wasted resources?
its wasted in that they didn't need to do it
but it does work
it just works on the wrong people, the ones who are already convinced
that's these people's big problem
all over the world, people are starting to shift away from what they are being told
and this has really put all these folks into a tizzy
all the "elites"
its not just Trump, or America
Brexit is another such thing, and they dont know what to do with it
They are slowly watering that down
yeah
the "pro-Brexit" side is anti-Brexit too
but at the same time, their control isn't perfect etc.
May is
else they wouldn't have anything to be afraid of
and also, there is no reason to think they themselves are unified
as I was saying
and there have been issues there of a bloc within the agency with their own goals etc.
or more than one bloc
why do we accept the existence of intelligence agencies
I'm not saying we dont need them
but think about them, just mull it over, dont say anything
for a day or an hour or a minute, think about these people
think about the erosion of institutions under leftism, are these people immune?
even in a totally benign reading, there is room for shadowy conspirators
its nothing crazy, it makes sense, it fits human motivations
I believe the reality is considerably crazier
but this is a starting point
Well yeah intrigue isn't anything new
yeah exactly
Many actors just waiting
intrigue is nothing new, well said
a professional class of intriguers, respected by society, is new though
I have thought about those agencies
I mean in many ways a "state" or a "government" is an idea i.e. the people come and go but the existence of the trans-personal, non-material entity remains secure
Traditionally spies are despised
The idea of spies being cool is modern too
