in my personal projects I am not sure I like it as well
@atavisionary IT MAKES THINGS A LOT EASIER
just throw wood around
ARE YOU DOING OTHER PODCASTS?
I WOULD JUST ADJUST RECORDING LEVEL
IT PEAKS OUT AND TRUNCATES THE PEAKS
no, unrelated to anything of interest to the community
I have considered making a "log gym" when I finally settle in one place, just lots of logs of different lengths and diameters
SO YOU GET A LOUDER SOUND BUT LOSE SOME FIDELITY
@Exilarch ANY ACTIVITY IN NATURE > GYM
SLOW MUSCLES
ALSO TRY FREESTYLE SWIMMING
@atavisionary SOUNDS FUN
WANT TO DO ANOTHER PODCAST?
WE HAVE SOME INTERESTING GUESTS IN THE QUEUE
it's hilarious how many "fit" guys cannot swim worth a damn
if their boat capsizes all their muscles won't do shit for them
IT REQUIRES A CERTAIN COORDINATION
I am pretty much into pure combat/survival fitness now
AND THE ABILITY TO FLOAT
TIMING
WOULD HELP WITH BASS PLAYING
cannot just push hard, need to also actually know what you are doing
PURPOSE
I am fine with doing podcasts, its just the time zone thing thats an issue
A STRAIGHT LINE, A GOAL...
@atavisionary I AGREE; MAYBE YOU WILL TELL US A GOOD TIME OF DAY (IN THE RADIO CHANNEL)
wtf
I was going to go on /fa/ and find people to draw for clothing practice
but suddenly /fa/ is all POC now
everyone posting is a nigger
I will have to go on google to find actual attractive people to draw
GOOGLE IS ALL THIRD WORLDED TOO
looking up "first/second/third world" definitions is interesting
because by definition, to be first world you need democracy
you need many things for top notch status that are actually insane
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_World
```The concept of First World originated during the Cold War and included countries that were generally aligned with NATO and opposed to the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the definition has instead largely shifted to any country with little political risk and a well functioning democracy, rule of law, capitalist economy, economic stability and high standard of living. Various ways in which modern First World countries are often determined include GDP, GNP, literacy rates, life expectancy, and the Human Development Index.[1] In common usage, as per Merriam-Webster, "first world" now typically refers to "the highly developed industrialized nations often considered the westernized countries of the world".[2]```
1. it openly is just "the white standard" (see last line)
note that HDI factors into this definition:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Development_Index
```The Human Development Index (HDI) is a composite statistic (composite index) of life expectancy, education, and per capita income indicators, which are used to rank countries into four tiers of human development. A country scores higher HDI when the lifespan is higher, the education level is higher, and the GDP per capita is higher. The HDI was developed by Pakistani economist, Mahbub ul Haq, for the UNDP.[1][2]
The 2010 Human Development Report introduced an Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI). While the simple HDI remains useful, it stated that "the IHDI is the actual level of human development (accounting for inequality)", and "the HDI can be viewed as an index of 'potential' human development (or the maximum IHDI that could be achieved if there were no inequality)".
The index is based on the human development approach, developed by Ul Haq, often framed in terms of whether people are able to "be" and "do" desirable things in life. Examples include—Beings: well fed, sheltered, healthy; Doings: work, education, voting, participating in community life. It must also be noted that the freedom of choice is central—someone choosing to be hungry (e.g. during a religious fast) is quite different to someone who is hungry because they cannot afford to buy food.[3]```
