Mormons still have society because church is a place to take a bunch of families to mingle, and they have them mingle as units and then separately as men, women and children throughout the church day
While all hanging out and discussing mutually held beliefs
And it's a rule you can't do anything else on that day so the only obvious other thing to do is hang out with those other families
It's a great system for building authentic community, church is like a community incubator
