I speak of mass informing in general. That all information put in the ether by *organized* media is completely untrustworthy is a basic presumption, not merely a healthy suspicion. All media should be treated as a form pollution.

Even a completely true and honest information can be witheld for example, and published only later when the circumstances are more favorable, which is itself a proof that informing is secondary, collateral goal, and that the primary goal is coercing the audience, or agitation

If there exists a mass Russian operation to subvert Americans through social networks or media, then social networks and media should at the very least be treated as undesirable things in themselves to begin with

Not to mention that if such a thing was going on in Russia in an inverted way, then Russian *government*, not "the community" would be solving the problem, and they have - they shut down all centers that were seen as promoting foreign interests. Citizens were merely informed that such a thing took place and that's it.

Imagine the entire Russian society living in some self-imposed inertia concerning foreign involvement, and private firms like Vkontakte, Kaspersky and Gasprom taking it on themselves to institute online "community guidlines" and other stupidities to protect the public.
