I made the mistake today of being curious about some Baked Alaska/Metokur spat, and watched some of the recorded stream
Huge waste of everything
Don't even know who metokur is
I generally pay attention to what weev has to say tho
Yeah, he does have worthwhile things to say
It seems like every alt-right or related public figure has either made a serious acusation against another, or has been the subject of one, and there is an interlocking network of acusations such that there's no way to disentangle it and even pick a "side", because within any subset of alt-right figures there is some animosity between at least two of them
I suppose some degree of this is to be expected; normal people don't talk about these taboo topics, so it's left to the real weridos
I don't mean to be dismissive of weev's article, maybe he's right, but I'm just going to sidestep the whole issue by not "trusting" Internet celebrities or pretending they're leaders and instead I'll support and promote the good things they say when they say them
the strength is to not have leaders
we can have all the Alt Right High School drama we want, ti's fun. it's a social scene too
but no leaders to be targeted
the leaders are exactly who need to be targetted
since most of them are idiots like cantwell
There should be a distinction between thought leaders, movement leaders, and organizational leaders
And they should be held to high standards, but specifically standards that are relevant to their position
Everyone is flawed, but some flaws are bigger vulnerabilities and hindrances than others, and some are more critical in some roles than others
reading what weev wrote about hunter wallace and cantwell makes me want to purge both of them. smdh and i don't care if i get called an elitist, we have to have some behavioral standards for the ethnostate
I feel the same thing, but we don't have an ethnostate to purge them from
So what would they be purged from?
Right, but how?
My personal preference would be that Serious Acusations should be to the point and mostly just expositions of the clear evidence to back them up
Saying someone is an FBI informant is a specific claim and the reasons for the claim can be given
That's different from, for example, the vague accusations I've seen leveled at Spencer, where a photo of him with two asian girls is presented as somehow discrediting him
i dont trust any of these internet celebrities to be honest
and weev suggesting i should be brutally killed doesn't help me like him any more
right now it's best to let the "alt-right" quiet down and be reborn in a few years
the current crop of leadership all sucks or bores me
Right, and why do we need to trust them? Even if they say good things, why does agreeing with them require trusting them?
Are internet celebrities leading anything?
well, yes, but nothing they say is ever all that new to me, at least
i mean brett is far better than any of them on that
and leadership wise i'm not impressed
Some of the Internet celebritites have value in that they may help others come to truths. I don't see any attempts at leadership from them except in the sense of having many people who listen to them and read what they write, which doesn't require trust.
Something like Charlottesville last year did require trust though.
cville was supposed to be a big tent deal
instead it was the WN trying to inflate their numbers by tricking the normie rightists
which is going to make normie rightists not trust WNs at all (which isn't a bad thing at all really)
Sometimes tents get too big
that has nothing to do with the point
