Gravitons are a String Theory particle, right?
i believe so but i maybe incorrect
If so, they work mathematically, but are impossible to observe with modern technology.
gravitons are elementary particles in the quantum gravity theory.
*Which quantum gravity theory?*
There’s a few.
yes like many other particles
idk
its just a hypothetical particle. I personally dont believe in its existence, but it could be possible
it's disappointing that there's so many of us.
String theory is the only theory of quantum gravity that has a mathematically possible graviton.
The rest end up with particles that have infinite mass.
Evidently that causes issues.
Gravitons are denser than air that's why things are held down
Well, yeah. But math can do literally anything.
Well, that’s the interesting part.
all doesnt explain gravitational waves though
The only one that mathematically works can not be observed.
But math doesn't exactly reflect reality. It's a tool to help explain reality.
gravitational waves do exist
@🅱ruh Sound Effect 2 Show me
yeah theres a lot wrong with string theory but i dont know enough about quantum physics to known it all in fact i barely understand quantum physics its insane
well in 2015 a group of scientists from LIGO and Virgo detected gravitational waves
There’s actually not much wrong with String theory at all.
im not too sure about the specifics
There’s really just one big thing that’s an issue with it, but that issue is massive.
however bob lazar did talk about this theory before they were discovered
and proven
String theory disregards a 12th dimension. Which is pretty annoying.
*One dimensional particles are impossible to detect.*
Not all do, Mad Phil
There’s one version that goes well beyond a 12th dimension
ah dimensions. I used to be super interested into this stuff
hi, fellow flatties.
The conventional one has ten, and M has 11, iirc.
Yes
The last one has 32, I believe?
hi memeulous fan
A bit of a jump.
hi!
