so where is this all going ? light is bending objects thousands of feet above the horizon for us to see with no distortion?

2019-05-01 14:16:54 UTC

cause that is whats happenning to the chigago skyline right

2019-05-01 14:18:23 UTC

There is some atmospheric refraction

2019-05-01 14:21:17 UTC

boats going over the curve there

2019-05-01 14:21:35 UTC

idk ? i think we should look into whats happenning at the horizon more after seeing that

2019-05-01 14:22:33 UTC

thats the only video ive seen like that so i would have to see more images of boats under the curve but with the color and contrast adjusted like he does there

2019-05-01 14:25:17 UTC

what do u guys think

2019-05-01 14:34:27 UTC

Interesting

2019-05-01 14:35:43 UTC

wouldnt u like to see more images of boats that are almost all over the curve but with the color and contrast adjusted ?

2019-05-01 14:37:08 UTC

the images globers use for proof boats are over the curve cause ive already been told that in that video the boat wasnt over the curve it was atmospheric conditions

2019-05-01 14:38:17 UTC

could u adjust teh contrast and color and still see it through water ?

2019-05-01 14:38:40 UTC

when just the top of the boat is visible or its totally not visible anymore

2019-05-01 14:39:04 UTC

you would have to be looking through a mile of water to see the bottom of the boat no ?

2019-05-01 14:45:05 UTC

Apparently, thanks to how light works, you can zoom in on where the boat was and it will appear again, mast first

2019-05-01 14:46:05 UTC

A

2019-05-01 14:46:26 UTC

I want a boat

2019-05-01 14:46:41 UTC

A boat would be cool. . .

2019-05-01 14:46:48 UTC

. . . And expensive

2019-05-01 14:46:50 UTC

;-;

2019-05-01 14:46:58 UTC

Yes

2019-05-01 14:47:02 UTC

An the upkeep

2019-05-01 14:48:26 UTC

so u guys think the boat in that video went over the curve ?

2019-05-01 14:48:39 UTC

Unsure

2019-05-01 14:49:42 UTC

let me ask this if the boat disappears over the curve bottom first them we zoom in and it disappears bottom first again then u cant see it but u can adjust the color and contrast and still see the shape of the boat did it go over the curve then lol

2019-05-01 14:50:10 UTC

if it was over the curve would it be possible to see it adjusting color and contrast

2019-05-01 14:50:33 UTC

that is what the globe defenders will say we are seeing it through the water i feel

2019-05-01 14:50:52 UTC

I don’t know anything about that sort of thing.

2019-05-01 14:51:10 UTC

How light behaves and such I mean

2019-05-01 14:51:37 UTC

some people say light doesnt actually travel it propogates through the medium or something

2019-05-01 14:51:54 UTC

i mean its a wave and a particle which is weird

2019-05-01 14:52:10 UTC

depending on if we observe it or not

2019-05-01 14:52:15 UTC

that is the weird part

2019-05-01 14:52:25 UTC

double slit experiment

2019-05-01 14:52:44 UTC

if we observe the light its one way and if we dont observe its another way

2019-05-01 14:52:48 UTC

Well I think it was Einstein who started to theorize about the one way speed of light. But it’s the quintessential catch 22 since in order to test the one way speed of light you have to know the one way speed of light

2019-05-01 14:52:50 UTC

i think thats how it worked

2019-05-01 14:53:03 UTC

There is also this movie showing something weird happening in the horizon https://youtu.be/_uyFC-Tgnz0

2019-05-01 14:54:19 UTC

@jeremy when it’s tested as a particle it’s a particle. When it’s tested as a wave it’s a wave

2019-05-01 14:54:55 UTC

i think it has to do with if we observe it or not
