Biconic

2019-05-08 06:28:11 UTC

hey ive got a question, has anyone here considered buying a weather balloon and a camera and seeing if the curvature exists for themselves?

2019-05-08 06:57:14 UTC

Sounds expensive

2019-05-08 06:58:58 UTC

the whole thing would take less than $1000. if ten of you got together and pitched in money, it would only cost everyone $100. heck, if you set up a gofundme and just the people on this server donated you could do it easy. so why not?

2019-05-08 06:59:21 UTC

wouldnt it be worth it to prove your entire belief system correct?

2019-05-08 07:00:02 UTC

A lot of people have send up balloons with cameras

cool image. what about this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pv4Hwk17F8Y

2019-05-08 07:02:52 UTC

So, some have curve and some have flat horizons and you assume it's the one with a wide angle lens. Brilliant.

2019-05-08 07:03:24 UTC

They have a curved bias

2019-05-08 07:03:32 UTC

That's one of them. And you see the problem with it the camera distorts or wobbles

2019-05-08 07:04:10 UTC

@🍄The Mad Philosopher🍄 why isnt there a distortion at the beginning of the video?

2019-05-08 07:04:26 UTC

@Rudi what? i dont follow

2019-05-08 07:05:01 UTC

At lower altitude there is curve as well in that video

2019-05-08 07:05:15 UTC

Due to the camera

2019-05-08 07:05:18 UTC

i didnt notice one, can you provide a timestamp?

2019-05-08 07:06:13 UTC

its hard to tell, but i'll admit when you look for it there does seem to be a slight curve. but how does that explain the much more distinct curve seen later in the video? what causes it to change?

2019-05-08 07:07:57 UTC

@Nutsack jones There is distortion.

2019-05-08 07:08:13 UTC

timestamp?

2019-05-08 07:08:39 UTC

When the camera moves from left to right and vise versa, you can see it distort as it pans until it slows.

2019-05-08 07:09:13 UTC

Not even a minute in

2019-05-08 07:09:26 UTC

Try 50 seconds or so

2019-05-08 07:11:06 UTC

i didnt really notice it, so its not very distinct. but how does that explain the much more distinct curve seen later such as 1:53:45 when the camera is barely moving

2019-05-08 07:11:53 UTC

You're not listening. If it's curved right off the bat, it's unreliable.

2019-05-08 07:12:00 UTC

Plain and simple.

2019-05-08 07:12:36 UTC

how? how does the degree of the curve change? it starts of very minimal but becomes incredibly distinct as the video progresses, why does that occur

2019-05-08 07:13:04 UTC

Doesn't matter. It does. So, it's unreliable.

2019-05-08 07:13:12 UTC

Sorry, mate.

2019-05-08 07:15:20 UTC

sorry, but you can't just explain something by saying "thats the way it is." something MUST cause the curvature to become more apparent at higher altitude, because there is a clear change in the degree of curvature. why does this happen?

2019-05-08 07:17:07 UTC

and where is this curved distortion when the camera is not moving? why doesnt it appear then?

2019-05-08 07:17:38 UTC

L

2019-05-08 07:18:02 UTC

you point out that the distortion appears when the camera swings violently to the side, but there is still curvature when it is barely moving at 1:53:11

2019-05-08 07:18:57 UTC

do flat earthers exist around the surface or no

2019-05-08 07:19:37 UTC

i exist to feed garfnef

2019-05-08 07:19:43 UTC

Not all lenses have the same severity of curved bias. You're just wanting it to be true, despite all of the other footage that clearly shows a flat horrizon that needed no fisheye lens camera to get a curve and then complain that it's not accepted.

2019-05-08 07:20:35 UTC

i'm asking you about this specific video, can you please answer my previous questions?

2019-05-08 07:20:47 UTC

I didn't say swinging (not violently, by the way, don't exaggerate, it's ugly) was the sole condition for there to be a curve.
