PSA has them for similar pricing.
Anyone have any experience with alpha dog out of Arizona
Ive ordered from them buy they're taking a really long time
A couple boxes of shotgun ammo and ordered a month ago
I know there's delays but should I contact them?
Remember that it's velocity not bullet composition that really defeats armor
So, any idea if it's even possible to get tungsten or TS core bullets anymore? I'm pretty sure it's federally banned except for existing shit.
And the energy alone would literally knock you unconscious if hit
Right, mostly. But a component of that is still composition. 223 WSSM isn't going to penetrate a ceramic plate, I don't think it will at least.
Well, it might be more mass going at speed, than composition going at speed to defeat armor.
Really? I've seen a .50 cal rated ceramic plate eat an FMJ and the BFD looked definitely unpleasant, but it didn't look like it'd knock you out or kill you. Just rock your world for a second.
It would definitely do more than rock your world for a second, it would knock you on your ass, crack all your ribs and incapacitate you
and no I'm pretty certain that you can't get tungsten core bullets anymore except for random stragglers
It might definitely crack a smaller bone, but I don't think it would instantly incapacitate an opponent who was dedicated.
holy fuck that's some BFD
I know for fabricating new projectiles, you could technically harden nails or something and drilling a hole in the tip of the bullets, but you're gonna have to melt the led to fit the projectile and I get the feeling the whole concept would be retardedly inaccurate if it doesn't just blow out your barrel.
and also illegal unfortunately
the closest you could come would be solid brass projectiles legally
Actually, I saw the 300 win mag AP round that didn't penetrate do considerably deeper BFD than that .50, but then again, that video's clay was cold, so it might be way less worse than it's supposed to be.
lmao, true, definitely illegal, but if you're shooting at someone wearing a ceramic plate, you've probably already dropped all regard for what's legal and what's not.
you have clearly done more research on this than me, but I am 100% positive that energy, however dispersed has to go somewhere, and taking a 50BMG to the chest from 75 yards would absolutely fuck you up
You wouldn't die
the legality of it is also why I'm looking at specifically centering around the M2AP projectiles. I can have it around and not break any laws.
but you wouldn't be off to the races again any time soon
Hmm... Yeah, true.
Then fuckin do it, I would be fascinated to see testing around a 300 RUM or similar with M2AP
My point with the .50 BMG video was that I don't think absorbing a .338 mag to the plate is going to incapacitate an opponent.
I looked into this topic ages ago surrounding 300 norma mag
Yeah... I can't find ANY videos online with anything other than .300 Win Mag m2ap.
So I guess this is kind of uncharted territory in the civilian gun world.
Between Norma, RUM, and WBY, which do you think is the least likely to get abandoned and become scare to source cases for?
** scarce
probably WBY
it's a fairly popular bear and large game round
Yeah... RUM is already expensive for ammo. Like it costs more to feed than my .50
Funny story, I saw a gunbroker listing YEARS ago that had legit manufactured depleted uranium 7.62 Nato available for purchase
20 rounds at 20 dollars a round
Not bullshitting
If I had the link I would throw it here
