2019-01-19 16:05:39 UTC

when I think of 16 year olds voting in local

2019-01-19 16:06:36 UTC

It should be 18 to vote πŸ—³

2019-01-19 16:07:41 UTC

If it was lowered to 16 then 14 years old would be asking for the right to vote πŸ—³

2019-01-19 16:09:01 UTC

I dont think we are there yet πŸ˜„

2019-01-19 16:09:08 UTC

2019-01-19 16:10:55 UTC

lmao, literally the GENERATION responsible for the special snowflake meme.

2019-01-19 16:11:46 UTC

If 35 year olds are easy enough to be brainwashed & act like children then why would I trust Kevin, who smokes weed on sundays to vote for the future of a country? πŸ˜‚

2019-01-19 16:40:20 UTC

2019-01-19 20:37:38 UTC

What a meanie

I'm 15 years old

I don't mind waiting until 18 years

I have to wait until I'm 18 years old to drive or drink

2019-01-19 23:40:35 UTC

15?

2019-01-19 23:40:36 UTC

Yummy

2019-01-20 00:41:48 UTC

@TheBritishGamer β€πŸ”‘ (Meh) pretty sure it's only illegal to buy alcohol or drink it in public before 18

2019-01-20 00:42:08 UTC

You can drink it on private property with no problems I think

2019-01-20 00:42:15 UTC

At least I hope you can lol

2019-01-20 00:43:15 UTC

Just to justify my opinion that we should allow 16 year olds to vote though

2019-01-20 00:43:40 UTC

One of the biggest criticisms of yount people is that a lot of them don't know and don't care about politics

2019-01-20 00:44:07 UTC

And if we follow that line of logic that's a good reason to lower the voting age

2019-01-20 00:44:51 UTC

Because when you think about it the disinterest of the vast majority of young people means that none of them feel obliged to vote, we already see this with very low percentages of 16-21 year olds voting

2019-01-20 00:45:08 UTC

This means that only the politically engaged ones will actually vote

Or all the not so politically engaged ones will vote for some party that they heard of for a second

The reason that parties want to lower it to 16 is because it's an easy market

2019-01-20 00:46:10 UTC

If they're not politically engaged they won't be arsed to vote

Simply say "we'll lower tuition fees" and they'll vote for you
