those are the things I have in my mind
when I think of 16 year olds voting in local
It should be 18 to vote π³
If it was lowered to 16 then 14 years old would be asking for the right to vote π³
I dont think we are there yet π
but 16 year olds arent as dumb
with the increase of alternative media
the picture has changed... alot
16 year olds arenβt Adults
16 year olds arent fuckwits aswell
18 is an adult
16 year olds don't have a grip.
Look at millenials
lmao, literally the GENERATION responsible for the special snowflake meme.
If 35 year olds are easy enough to be brainwashed & act like children then why would I trust Kevin, who smokes weed on sundays to vote for the future of a country? π
ffs, local elections dont mean parlimentary elections
Bro 16 year old probably know more than these 30+ people
The world changrs every day so it its new to everyonr
Tf you mean 16 is too young
Its our future
Alright, @Children.Deserve.Cancer.REBORN has been warned for '**Duplicated text**'.
LOL
What a meanie
I'm 15 years old
I don't mind waiting until 18 years
I have to wait until I'm 18 years old to drive or drink
15?
Yummy
@TheBritishGamer β€π (Meh) pretty sure it's only illegal to buy alcohol or drink it in public before 18
You can drink it on private property with no problems I think
At least I hope you can lol
Just to justify my opinion that we should allow 16 year olds to vote though
One of the biggest criticisms of yount people is that a lot of them don't know and don't care about politics
And if we follow that line of logic that's a good reason to lower the voting age
Because when you think about it the disinterest of the vast majority of young people means that none of them feel obliged to vote, we already see this with very low percentages of 16-21 year olds voting
This means that only the politically engaged ones will actually vote
Or all the not so politically engaged ones will vote for some party that they heard of for a second
The reason that parties want to lower it to 16 is because it's an easy market
If they're not politically engaged they won't be arsed to vote
Simply say "we'll lower tuition fees" and they'll vote for you
