"Over 80% of the vote in the general election was cast for party’s who backed brexit in the general election 2017."
Indeed, but please do bear in mind that the '17 General Election was not about leaving the European Union but about who should be elected to government. The Conservatives promised to leave the single market and customs union compared to Labour that had emphasis on the UK remaining in the SM & CU. I'm not proposing that we abandon leaving the EU, just that their should be another referendum on May's deal, SM & CU membership, or leave w/ a no deal as parliament divided.

"It already clear the British people voted for brexit and they want brexit."
Wrong. England and Wales voted to leave whereas Scotland and NI voted to remain and are overwhelmingly opposed to Brexit.

Leave means leave with or without a deal that what 52% of people voted for in 2016

2019-03-05 00:26:50 UTC

On the ballot papers it said United Kingdom meaning that all the votes from the four nations where added up to give a overall and official results. The official result was a leave win

"Leave means leave with or without a deal that what 52% of people voted for in 2016"
Leave doesn't mean leave w/ no deal nor does that mean we should surrender to May's awful deal either. Those who voted to leave had various reasons behind their decision to do so (i.e. repatriate powers from Brussels to Westminster and the devolved administrations, an end to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) and their jurisdiction in Britain, control over immigration etc.), It would be naive and irresponsible to claim that every Brexit voter wanted to leave the EU without a deal as each and every Brexit voter had their own reasoning and their was no clear majority for any particular Brexit.

"On the ballot papers it said United Kingdom meaning that all the votes from the four nations where added up to give a overall and official results. The official result was a leave win" / "A second refrendum or a peoples vote is not respecting the largest democratic decision in British history and will undermine democracy in Britain."
What about respect for those in Scotland and NI who voted to remain in the European Union? Wouldn't that undermine democracy in Britain if a government in London were to implement Brexit because that is what people in England and Wales voted for but shunned the voices of Scotland and NI? Britain is meant to be a union between Scotland and England and each are equal in decision making for these islands. Admittedly, Scotland may only have 1/10th of the population of England, but the 1707 treaty purposely took this into consideration and ensured that Scotland's voice should be heard. It would be morally and ethically wrong for the Conservatives and Labour to ignore Scotland, and should instead honour the 1707 treaty and sort out a deal/compromise for Scotland that means we stay in the EU's SM & CU. Only then would Scots see ourselves as equal partners in this union.

"
"Constitutionally and hence legally (if anyone cares to test it), a majority of Scotland's democratically elected MP's can end the Treaty of Union, as it was constituted. Scotland therefore has no legal requirement for a referendum on 'independence'. It is Scotland's MP's who ultimately hold Scotland's sovereignty at any given point in time. Scotland only remains a signatory to the 'union' through the consent of its elected representatives, the majority of whom now support independence, as opposed to the majority of whom in 1707 supported union. That is the only material change necessary to end the union with England.."

P.S. Thatcher was a massive cunt.

2019-03-05 06:52:07 UTC

P.S. We voted to leave.

2019-03-05 06:52:23 UTC

It was a democratic voice & should be treated as such.

Scotland wants independence so much, the SNP lost a third of their seats to the Tories

Something about that sentence doesn't make sense

"Scotland wants independence so much, the SNP lost a third of their seats to the Tories"
With the independence referendum having an 85% turnout it means that only 46.75% of the population who could vote in the referendum and had done so voted to remain in the UK. Unionists should be concerned as independence support can only increase from now on and has done, and Brexit hasn't even happened yet. The SNP+Scottish Greens have an outright majority in Holyrood, the Scottish Parliament has voted in favour to hold another referendum and has overwhelmingly rejected Brexit for Scotland, and the SNP won the majority of Scottish Westminster seats, double that of the Conservatives in both Holyrood and Westminster.

2019-03-06 01:43:19 UTC

:/ "Conservatives are the best party"
Explain.

But that's a really shitty logic for Scptland getting independence

The fact that it wanted to Demain

Using that logic, London should become Independent
