Even though the USSR *had* ethnic cleansing
But that wasn’t even part of their agenda or they propaganda for a totalitarian state to “discriminate”
GG @LING LING, you just advanced to level 3!
Uh
*their
Based on class yes.
its the same principle
Class but not “ethnic”
And ethnic is not intrinsically tied to fascism
Neither are intrinsically tied, either or both can be used
Hypothetically neither can be present in a fascistic society, although any of the ones that come to mind tend to have at least one of these
I see where you’re going, but kinda still questioning about the whole ethnic cleansing part of USSR
Here, go to the "Poles" section of this page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racism_in_the_Soviet_Union#Germans
They also essentially starved over a million ethnic Ukrainians to death.
They also almost killed all of the Cossacks
*actually not sure about nearly all, but it is classified as a genocide
Never thought they actually would be one. That’s interesting.
Yeah, not many people really know this about the USSR
it really was two sides of the same damn coin when you boil it down.
Deported a bunch of people to "special facilities" where they starved and died
Well then, we can all admit to be being a little racist lmao

But it was mostly paranoid stalin
^^
Yeah I could see that too
And it was odd because north Korea was communist as well
Most totalitarian leaders were paranoid
Stalin had Koreans deported because he believed they were spies
But north Korea before it became its own country started to become communist
After WW2 the cold War would boil down to the Korean War which has never been finished
And at first, communism was the way to go
Communist north Korea was way better than, capitalist south Korea during the early ages
But then the country declined because it couldn't sustain the cost of the country
And capitalist Korea got better over time
Well because South Korea at that time was underdeveloped. Underdeveloped countries were hard for them to be democratic and at the same time, prosperous.
Yeah because it was just after the war
And most of the fighting was on South Korean land
So they had to rebuild
Which took some time
