Chromosomes and evolution are two different things

2020-03-06 13:51:56 UTC

Although chromosomes but mostly traits can be used to prove evolution

2020-03-06 13:53:05 UTC

But there are other factors leading to evolution than traits, environmental factors also come into play

2020-03-06 14:26:38 UTC

@Sophie Except evolution is not science. Of course, if you are talking about micro-evolution, I’m sure the Ted Cruz believes that. The problem comes with how evolution formed life in the first place. That’s still a theory. If you find my discussion with @Cobra Commander , you’ll see that we both came to that conclusion (and he is an evolutionist).

2020-03-06 14:31:18 UTC

Lol wait wait do you not believe in evolution

2020-03-06 14:31:48 UTC

Lol, wait wait, you believe in evolution?

2020-03-06 14:32:06 UTC

What part do you not understand?

2020-03-06 14:32:31 UTC

Evolution is not only real, it’s inevitable

2020-03-06 14:32:39 UTC

I’m telling you, I’m very very strong on the argument against evolution

2020-03-06 14:32:39 UTC

Why would evolution not occur?

2020-03-06 14:32:53 UTC

Why would it occur?

2020-03-06 14:32:53 UTC

I mean, no you aren’t

2020-03-06 14:33:09 UTC

And why in the world would it be this logical?

2020-03-06 14:33:32 UTC

Because mutations cause adaptations that respond to selective pressure

2020-03-06 14:33:37 UTC

No, I’m serious. We could move to <#523834972126052352> and I’ll take you down in that debate.

2020-03-06 14:33:49 UTC

Sure

2020-03-06 14:34:13 UTC

Alright 😁

2020-03-06 14:56:53 UTC

@Yusa You've twisted the meaning of *theory" again.

2020-03-06 14:58:49 UTC

@Cobra Commander A theory is a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained.

2020-03-06 14:59:10 UTC

Official definition

2020-03-06 15:02:44 UTC

Right but you're ignoring what I have told you previously. That theories are the closest things that can be considered fact in science.

2020-03-06 15:03:33 UTC

Germ theory still stands as a theory, for instance.

2020-03-06 15:05:01 UTC

You get a theory from evidence for it that already exists

2020-03-06 16:00:44 UTC

If evolution didn’t occur then humans wouldn’t exist in our current form

2020-03-06 16:01:03 UTC

We would be apes

2020-03-06 16:01:40 UTC

And also we would’ve died out a long time ago to the common cold

2020-03-06 16:05:07 UTC

If evolution didn't exist you wouldn't have anything more than like

2020-03-06 16:05:12 UTC

Cells, maybe

2020-03-06 16:09:21 UTC

It’s impossible for evolution not to exist

2020-03-06 16:09:45 UTC

Evolution is necessarily the outcome of phenomena we’ve observed

2020-03-06 16:10:01 UTC

If mutations and selective pressure exist, evolution necessarily exists.

2020-03-06 16:13:03 UTC

Yeah but if mutations and selective pressure existed, we’d be seeing things like new disease causing viruses emerging that we’ve never seen before... oh, wait...

2020-03-06 16:36:04 UTC

Lol

2020-03-06 16:48:03 UTC

It’s called the flu

2020-03-06 16:48:21 UTC

The reason why we get the flu shot every year

2020-03-06 17:20:58 UTC

@Sophie @Katze Miaulitzer @Cobra Commander Oh? So you believe evolution because you don’t understand how something happened?

2020-03-06 17:21:28 UTC

Sounds like something you criticize Christians of doing...

2020-03-06 17:27:12 UTC

That's not what was stated at all

2020-03-06 17:27:12 UTC

Viruses evolve all the time because our immune system learns to fight them off, but some of them live long enough to reproduce. And those ones who lived omg enough have an adaptation that kept them alive

2020-03-06 17:28:34 UTC

@Cobra Commander Also, you’re wrong about the scientific fact thing. Scientific facts are repeatable. We can’t repeat the evolutionary theory, and therefore, it remains a theory.
