But still, even with Chernobyl, it has the least fatalities!
Nuclear meltdown is very rare
if you know what you're doing
Yeah
Both Chernobyl and Fukoshima were due to other problems
Chernobly was rushed by the Soviets
Fukoshima was just a series of unfortunate events
I mean one thing which interests me about Yang is that he is pro-Nuclear power
But need to do more research into him
Well nuclear fission was just made possible.
So that removes a lot of risks with typical nuclear power stations
:simples:
Hmm
@beyond_gravity Of course Guardian would say that
usual late stage capitalism retardation <a:PepeRain:537585945311051786>
They're the same idiots who probably support the one child policy
<:fakenews:501800176844013578>
Hmm
Now they're predicting a drought
you could say they have no idea
and you'd be right <:XD:503690220202360853>
there is a difference. They are predicting about a shortage of fresh water (read: drinking water), but the flooding would be from rising sea levels and we all know sea is salty (read: not drinkable)
The point is that their predictions aren't exactly reliable
Plus, apparently Britain isn't rich enough to filter water?
it depends from a) what are you filtering exactly, commonly its sewage b) quantity c) access to fresh water supplies d) access to sea water
luckily UK has it easy
but a worse scenario is going to happen with Mexico city
it was built in a swamp
and it has colossal deposits of fresh water underneath
but they are going to run out
and when that happens, you have no other sources for 8.8 million people
lots of countries especially with big populations face this problem
and UK with its 60 million aint that small either
