You read a mythology book in your intro to western civ and wanted to make a big boy allegory?

2019-10-24 17:37:57 UTC

Learn to express yourself you clueless half wit

2019-10-24 17:38:02 UTC

Now fuck off, I’m done with you

2019-10-24 17:41:36 UTC

Good boy- at least you can follow directions.

2019-10-24 17:46:49 UTC

Begone peasant

2019-10-24 17:49:29 UTC

Lol honey

2019-10-24 17:50:27 UTC

You’re outmatched

2019-10-24 17:50:30 UTC

Time to pack it in

2019-10-24 17:51:03 UTC

Moving on- yeah incrementalism is probably more effective

2019-10-24 17:51:11 UTC

Burning everything down rarely gets what anyone wants

2019-10-24 17:51:43 UTC

See honey? I’m actually helping your argument- if you learn to express yourself clearly you can join conversations like this

2019-10-24 18:01:20 UTC

Gish gallop of inane screaming doesn’t make me outmatched lol learn to think bigger, incrementalism is trying to be rid of the problem (hydra) one issue (head) at a time

2019-10-24 18:01:37 UTC

Sorry you don’t understand ancient af allegory

2019-10-24 18:02:32 UTC

Incrementalist Reform doesn’t work when you’re challenging the base assumptions of a system. If axiomatically a system relies on certain assumptions to exist, and you contradict those assumptions, you cannot incrementally transform it into its opposite

2019-10-24 18:03:42 UTC

@Deleted User Also Third Positionism is a bad 19th century meme gone wrong in the Hood

2019-10-24 18:04:38 UTC

It’s incoherent and doesn’t posit an actual alternative to capitlaism or socialism. It just entrenches capitalist hierarchy while allying itself with the most reactionary elements of the right with unsustainable hamfisted attempts at social regression

2019-10-24 18:05:20 UTC

As a line of thought it should’ve died in the 20th century with all of the fascist scumbags propagating it as a part of their genocidal ideology

2019-10-24 18:05:33 UTC

cutting one head off at a time so two can grow in its place rather than solving the issue at its heart

2019-10-24 18:10:23 UTC

@Zandu so you literally didn’t understand what I was saying

2019-10-24 18:10:56 UTC

no need to project

2019-10-24 18:11:07 UTC

Wielding the levers of power is how nearly every positive change has occurred in America, including the revolution

2019-10-24 18:11:34 UTC

Ok Zan, what do you think I’m saying?

2019-10-24 18:12:02 UTC

`yeah incrementalism is probably more effective`

2019-10-24 18:12:17 UTC

Yes, you’ve quoted me

2019-10-24 18:12:22 UTC

What do you think that means?

2019-10-24 18:12:30 UTC

cutting one head off at a time so two can grow in its place rather than solving the issue at its heart

2019-10-24 18:12:37 UTC

solving it increment by increment

2019-10-24 18:12:45 UTC

is trying to solve one symptom at a time

2019-10-24 18:12:54 UTC

Is this a Marvel movie quote btw?

2019-10-24 18:13:09 UTC

No.

2019-10-24 18:13:11 UTC

no it's an ancient af allegory scroll up and learn to read

2019-10-24 18:13:29 UTC

It means operating the levers of power rather than full upheaval

2019-10-24 18:13:40 UTC

No, but is a Marvel movie quote, right?

2019-10-24 18:13:48 UTC

Lol

2019-10-24 18:13:52 UTC

Captain America and whatnot?

2019-10-24 18:14:01 UTC

Hail Hydra?

2019-10-24 18:14:06 UTC

What was it?

2019-10-24 18:14:24 UTC

So Zandu, in this allegory, what does growing an additional head represent?

2019-10-24 18:14:33 UTC

oh you mean you recognized the word "Hydra" from da big movie scween and that's the only association you have, I gotcha

2019-10-24 18:14:53 UTC

you get rid of one dude who is causing issues only to find out there were two successors his office can be distributed amongst

2019-10-24 18:15:48 UTC

it's just a costly battle with no victory to try to solve an issue that way
