By muzzling the CDC and spreading misinformation

2020-02-28 17:50:13 UTC

How?

2020-02-28 17:50:17 UTC

What?

2020-02-28 17:50:39 UTC

He’s recapitulated CDC advices but also given his thoughts.

2020-02-28 17:50:51 UTC

The Dow is down 614 points today

2020-02-28 17:51:00 UTC

I know, it was down 1000 earlier

2020-02-28 17:51:02 UTC

Now it’s going up.

2020-02-28 17:51:08 UTC

I.e stabilising

2020-02-28 17:51:57 UTC

```The global stock market is, theoretically, the distillation of how investors think everything that happens in the world will play out in the economy. Right now, judging by these drops, investors are much less optimistic than they were a week ago. But what they’re predicting is not only how bad the outbreak could be in terms of workers staying home sick, drops in consumer spending, or supply-chain disruptions; it’s also how bad people think it could be. Those might turn out to be two very different things```
2020-02-28 17:52:09 UTC
There’s not yet evidence to show a stabilization. Maybe it is
2020-02-28 17:53:58 UTC
So far it is either going to gradually decline or become worse, if the later and panic sets in, you won't see recession but stock prices will be weak.
2020-02-28 17:54:53 UTC
Sure I mean fundamentally stocks are either pricing in the economic shock accurately, or overestimating or underestimating the impact
2020-02-28 17:55:07 UTC
Panic has set in
2020-02-28 17:55:16 UTC
It's just that's reversing now
2020-02-28 17:55:22 UTC
But stock prices are an early indicator- we haven’t seen the actual economic hit
2020-02-28 17:55:22 UTC
DOW is now 550
2020-02-28 17:55:42 UTC
Dude consumer sentiment literally rose lol
2020-02-28 17:55:43 UTC
Which will be retail and service choking
2020-02-28 17:56:23 UTC
Ok? That’s absolutely irrelevant
2020-02-28 20:20:29 UTC
Wow:
2020-02-28 20:20:50 UTC
Trumpets are absolutely delusional insane people
2020-02-28 20:24:52 UTC
I still believe Trump is a good president
2020-02-28 20:26:02 UTC
You couldn't be more correct
2020-02-28 20:27:58 UTC
Lol
2020-02-28 20:28:14 UTC
As I said: delusional insane people.
2020-02-28 20:28:55 UTC
Can you give an example of something he did that can be held against him?
2020-02-28 20:29:39 UTC
Most recent news was that he was nearly impeached but was acquitted
2020-02-28 21:10:22 UTC
@Sophie The nasdaq turned positive lmao
2020-02-28 21:10:24 UTC
I told you
2020-02-28 21:16:30 UTC
don't expect it to remain positive for long, remember China's economy is getting fucked
2020-02-28 21:18:58 UTC
@sɪᴅɪsɴᴏᴛʜᴇʀᴇ lol the nasdaq is positive by less than a point. The Dow is still way in the hole. Obviously this is not some great vindication of your grand theory of “hoping things go well for trump”
2020-02-28 21:19:27 UTC
The market may have stabilized, it may not have. We will need several more days of data to know either way.
2020-02-28 21:20:48 UTC
@Cat Queen 👑 I’ve got a few things I can blame him for one of which is the repeal of the fair pay and safe work places executive order which made sure federal contractors complied with protection laws before receiving government contracts so basically leaving millions of workers at risk of wage fraud and workplace injuries
2020-02-28 21:22:03 UTC
He tried to cut his taxes while also trying to take healthcare from millions of Americans
2020-02-28 21:23:12 UTC
I also heavily dislike his attempts to repeal environmental protections protecting at risk animals and our water supply
2020-02-28 21:23:22 UTC
He’s done a ton of anti worker shit too
2020-02-28 21:23:29 UTC
Taxes are a large issue and all the tax dollars are currently going to Obama care, Medicare, ect. That's why we're in debt
2020-02-28 21:23:54 UTC
Okay but that wasn’t what I brought up
