This isn't the place for sheep without arguments, Viktor
If you wanna play like that, he is hands down the worst president in the 21st century so far.
Well, not counting the beginning of it
Well, maybe even the beginning
So your argument went from "he didn't do anything"
to "he didn't do it because of the virus"
Then to justify it by "no articles", which would possibly be the worst argument yet.
Ok I'll just let u guys talk about Trump and get outta here
> Umm, my country as well as most others in the Balkans put everyone in lockdown the moment the first case showed up
US was the one of the first to declare travel restrictions and create a task force.
Anyways, about lock downs - it's left up to the states.
I never changed my arguments. I said that his response was way too slow. I am not neglecting the response he made because he was FORCED his hand.
Don't spin my words around.
Ok so we go back to the original, how is his response slow if I named the aforementioned that happened in Jan/Feb
Around the same time or faster than other world leaders?
The US actually has less deaths than most Eu countries when you account for population, hell even without that it has less deaths than Italy and Spain lmao.
So you want to talk about rhetoric instead of policy now?
This is the first article I found on the timeline, I couldn't view it all because my hands are tied tight noe
Now
I can link articles of democrats downplaying it too.
What he was doing is trying to calm people and the markets.
Italy and Spain are dealing with the virus way worse than most European countries, try not to include them.
Why not?
Because of many factors, most important one is being that even today, most people there don't give a crap yet, not taking it as serious as it should be
Those countries have messed up, yes. No reason not to include them, however even if you exclude such countries the US is less than most countries in terms of deaths.
If anything Trump has actually responded very well, I think he has.
I can list many policies why; infact I did above.
This is not with any surprise either, America was the most prepared country for this pandemic
I'll read it when I get home
The site has stated that Trump never cut funds to the CDC, which is a lie.
He proposed to cut funds back in february, but the request never passed trough Congress.
It was the Congress that provided CDC with everything they needed. Not because of Trump.
I would agree that the U.S dealt with the pandemic early on, but you're in the wrong when you put all credit to Trump.
And don't forget, this channel is primarily about Trump, whom both of us side-tracked from and went on to general politics.
It is my belief wholeheartedly that some current presidential candidates (besides Joe) could've handled it much more efficiently.
Like Bernie...
As for the claim "Trump tried to calm the public and the market."
That is not how one could deal with this pandemic. Fear IS needed. If one is not affraid of the virus, he is in much more danger to contract it and, quite possibly, die.
Mass-panic, on the other hand, would not help anyone.
donald trump is a leng cunt styll
If Trump had stated, at least once, that people should be affraid of this virus, it would've been taken a lot more seriously, a LOT faster
But what did people do instead, because Trump didn't adress the seriousness of it early on?
