I wasn't Catholic, just went to Catholic school
I lost my religion at 12 when I started reading Omni Magazine anyway
aha heh
sadly most religion despises the truth
and therefore conceptually despises Christ who is truth itself
the word of God is truth
scrolling up, daniel has portions that are considered apocryphal
what ,the portions that need to be considered as such because they predicted the future?
Well, it's part of the split between Catholicism and Protestantism as well
neither of them can get the basics right though
how can they expect to teach lawlessness and be considered anything but the lowest in the kingdom of heaven
It's like half of 3 chapters and 1 whole chapter something like that
not sure the content, one is the Manasseh one though
```The prayer is considered apocryphal by Jews, Catholics and Protestants. It was placed at the end of 2 Chronicles in the late 4th-century Vulgate. Over a millennium later, Martin Luther included the book in his 74-book translation of the Bible. It was part of the 1537 Matthew Bible, and the 1599 Geneva Bible. It also appears in the Apocrypha of the King James Bible and of the original 1609/1610 Douai Rheims Bible. Pope Clement VIII included the prayer in an appendix to the Vulgate stating that it should continue to be read "lest it perish entirely".```
neat
So to Orthodox it is canonical
everybody forgets about their stuff over here
to a certain degree I don't really pay attention tbh... maybe what I do isn't technically ackshually #realtheology but then what else am I supposed to call it
I take a claim about the God of Israel, I look at what the texts say and see if it's true or not
if somebody makes enough false claims they're talking about some other God π€· one that should be rejected
It really does boggle my mind
You have access to everything we have known - yet you choose to put your "faith" in the tiniest sliver.
I genuinely don't believe that religious people should have the right to vote. First of all, it shows a fundamental lack of rational/logical thinking - which is presumably one of the main reasons we don't let children and clinically insane people vote.
Second of all, the vast majority of religions deal with an ultimate goal that exists "after death". How can these people be trusted to make rational choices for everyone who is focused on this life, and this life only?
Instead of immediately resorting to over the top trolling like you usually do (you know who you are), try thinking about it rationally for a moment. Just a moment! Realize that it makes perfect sense. Understand it - not deep in your "soul" or your "heart" - in your MIND.
I know you can't do it for long, but try to rely solely on logic and reason for just a moment.
Stare into the abyss, so to say.
Then put on your diaper, and wrap yourself in your cozy blanket of ignorance. And tell me about your Christs and Muhammads.
Ignorant pedophile goat fuckers.
*Believe in no evidence God, no evidence Muh Clintons, but hand somebody [a] 5 inch thick report on Trump..."No sorry. Going to need to see much more evidence"*
Somebody said this but got rid of it - thinking that I don't keep meticulous records of every channel here <:insane:583662104821760022>
I'm giving up on those convos
I've decided to devote my life to Trump
I want a simpler life
