You need *one single wartime document* that contains the estimates...
That's your arbitrary requirement
he must be a big Young Turk fan...
To me, thousands of documents that add up to a figure is FAR more reputable than a single document somewhere
Meaning you have one certainty: You will never know the exact number. You can only speculate. You need to either speculate yourself using secondary sources to the topic and make your point ... or .... search someone, some scholar probably who has already done so and then evaluate yourself his position
Ok...yes...we won't know the "exact" number...
Nobody denied that
But when the best, most educated estimates put a death count in the millions and someone comes along and says "thousands"
Good we agree on that. Now how do we come to the estimates that we get at face value?
GG @Deleted User, you just advanced to level 3!
How do we come to the estimates that we get at face value?
That's your question?
we've gone from denying stalins death toll to denying the literal holocaust, were doomed here folks
LEL noooo he's not "denying"! He's just "questioning" everything like a good person of logic and reason 😉
Yep yep
Why trust all the people who have devoted their lives to studying this stuff?
Yes. How is the famous 6 million pulled out without proper documentation? What did we do instead of counting deaths one by one? did we look at how many people suddenly "disappeared"?
Clearly there is a conspiracy!
this is this very low iqed denial shit
Idk buddy, go to school for 8 years, get a PHD in this shit, and then maybe you'll know how they come to their fucking conclusions
But I tend to believe those who have
Especially when there are so many of them
I am in University my man. You don't need a PHD to come up with logic yourself
Coming to the same conclusion
Yeah buddy, I went to university too
Do you have a PHD in history?
Because my degree in Computer Science doesn't mean too much here
This is what I'm getting at did everyone come at the EXACT SAME conclusion or is there different results among all the studies?
I mean, look - there are lower estimates in conclusions and there are higher estimates
I don't have a degree, I just happen to know how to do essays backed up with valid references so my ass doesn't get marked down
And you think you know better than the historical consensus on this? You think it's all a conspiracy theory?
Like I said, you can dispute the exact numbers
@Deleted User weres your proof that the holocaust didnt happen? weres your proof that stalin didnt infact kill millions of people?
wait you have none
But if the range is say 5 million to 20 million people (based on accounts from different experts)
And somebody says "it wasn't millions! It was just thousands"
How can that be believed without EXTREME evidence?
That somehow invalidates everything else?
we have history that shows us that those deaths did indeed happen,
Yes, meaning people have come to different conclusions by approaching the subject in a different manner. I'm not talking about conspiracies, I'm talking about the number which in most studies is fixed between 4 to 6 million which is an alarming gap. Then again, I don't accept any number as being EXACT
