we're debating, you posted sources, i'm asking you to review these sources in order to show how they prove your point so we can have a coherent debate

2019-10-11 17:21:04 UTC

okay.

2019-10-11 17:21:13 UTC

you know what, i'll start off

2019-10-11 17:21:28 UTC

this is the second source you posted, i believe

2019-10-11 17:21:37 UTC

the abstract from here

2019-10-11 17:21:37 UTC

GG @Deleted User, you just advanced to level 3!

2019-10-11 17:21:46 UTC

"Psychological tests at 8 months and at 4 years of age were administered to 129 children of interracial (Negro-white) matings in the Collaborative Study. These interracial children were divided into two groups, depending on whether the mother was the white or the Negro partner. Stanford-Binet IQs of the 4-year-old children of white mothers averaged approximately 9 points higher than those with Negro mothers (p<0.01). The only behavioral difference on the Bayley Scales of Infant Development at 8 months of age was in favor of the interracial children of Negro mothers (p<0.05). The results are interpreted as supporting the hypothesis that postnatal environmental factors make a very substantial contribution to racial differences in intelligence test performance."

2019-10-11 17:22:25 UTC

i'm assuming you're supposing this proves your point because the interracial children have higher IQ's than the black children alone

2019-10-11 17:22:30 UTC

am i right

2019-10-11 17:22:51 UTC

That is a study.

2019-10-11 17:23:02 UTC

**Yes, it is a study.**

2019-10-11 17:23:24 UTC

am i right though

2019-10-11 17:24:28 UTC

I am showing whites overall have higher IQ's and that's what these studies have conclusively hypothesized correctly.

2019-10-11 17:24:42 UTC

in relations to blacks

2019-10-11 17:25:01 UTC

golden am i right or not

2019-10-11 17:25:18 UTC

okay, you know what

2019-10-11 17:25:20 UTC

Yes

2019-10-11 17:25:23 UTC

cool

2019-10-11 17:26:03 UTC

i disagree with your statement, the point of me asking is because there is a similar study in which black children are adopted by white families, specifically having white mothers

2019-10-11 17:26:58 UTC

in this study you'll find both black and biracial children score high (on par with their white counterparts), presumably due to how culturally white mothers teach vs black mothers teach

2019-10-11 17:27:11 UTC

as a matter of a fact, the researchers of your study said the same thing was a possibility

2019-10-11 17:27:22 UTC

here's a quote from your source

2019-10-11 17:27:53 UTC

" The results suggested that maternal influences of
intellectual functioning are substantial and placed in doubt the validity of the
genetic argument regarding the cause of mean racial differences in IQ. "

2019-10-11 17:28:48 UTC

this is also at a age in which IQ variation and consistancy is more dependent on genes as well

2019-10-11 17:28:49 UTC

No necessarily true, i would say genetics do have an involvement.

2019-10-11 17:29:30 UTC

okay, that's fair to say, but once again your belief or standpoint is that genes are responsible for the gap

2019-10-11 17:29:35 UTC

and mines is that it's the enviorment

2019-10-11 17:30:08 UTC

I would say it is yes the DNA.

2019-10-11 17:30:42 UTC

alright, is that all you have to say in response to my counter arguement?

2019-10-11 17:32:54 UTC

Gregor Mendel is a great example because of his experiment with peas.

2019-10-11 17:33:11 UTC

what

2019-10-11 17:40:55 UTC

I've already made my point many times on race and IQ so i don't think anybody here would disagree on the scientific consensus made on the many studies that show Blacks having a lower IQ than whites is indeed factual.

2019-10-11 17:44:07 UTC

@!GoldenKingship! but last time i checked, there was on "scientific consensus" made

2019-10-11 17:44:11 UTC

there are plenty of studies

2019-10-11 17:44:16 UTC

that prove both points

2019-10-11 17:44:28 UTC

and some are in the gray area, such as the minnesotra study

2019-10-11 17:44:58 UTC

as long as we don't fully understand ALL the genes that determine intelligence, no this will never be a 100% determined fact

2019-10-11 17:45:20 UTC

now you go ahead and show me ONE source, just ONE, that shows that majority of the scientific community agrees that it is based on genes
