2. even if what you are saying is right, humans are tribalistic. It is a natural impulse to be wary of people of different skin, its a survival mechanism.

2020-02-04 22:07:13 UTC

Therefore, it would be unwise to advise against what you are arguing.

2020-02-04 22:07:42 UTC

It is actually bad for us to do so, and for everyone else to do that either. Which is why I suggest a homeland theory, not necessarily a discrimination theory

2020-02-04 22:08:01 UTC

You are also discounting the fact that races are biologically different

2020-02-04 22:08:09 UTC

Your one argument does not provide a framework, rather an excuse.

2020-02-04 23:12:24 UTC

I can’t really comment on point 1, as that study’s not been done yet. But there is racism against Asian-Americans, so it would be reasonable to apply the same to that population as well.

Your second point is basically, “people in the past lived in tribes, so we should too.” Why? Just because people in the past fought each other because of some imagined community, why should we, in the 21st century, feel any need to do the same.

I actually have to applaud you for being honest about the real root of your views on this. You say that people in the past were “wary” of people from a different group. I understand now- you’re afraid of people who look different. That’s a difficult impulse to overcome, and you have my sympathy. But your fears shouldn’t drive public policy

2020-02-04 23:20:47 UTC

Lol that’s not what tribalism is

2020-02-04 23:20:55 UTC

Also being smug will not get you anywhere

2020-02-04 23:21:02 UTC

It’s a survival instinct, not a fear

2020-02-04 23:24:04 UTC

I'm really mixed, both my parent's are mixed- And I'd say I'm pretty blessed. Also, the articles above don't seem very credible in all honesty.

2020-02-04 23:25:27 UTC

They arent lol

2020-02-04 23:25:51 UTC

Their only conclusive on the basis for a general group of people

2020-02-04 23:26:13 UTC

You would get the same results examining any race ethnicity or people lol

2020-02-04 23:26:16 UTC

@CaramelKitten anecdotal

2020-02-04 23:26:16 UTC

GG @lololol, you just advanced to level 2!

2020-02-04 23:26:22 UTC

@Bleach highly untrue

2020-02-04 23:26:33 UTC

At lea set in non post-postmodern nations

2020-02-04 23:26:44 UTC

Or in non capitalist nations

2020-02-04 23:27:47 UTC

That study doesn’t conclude that mixed race children are going to have higher race of detrimental predisposed genetic issues

2020-02-04 23:27:47 UTC

GG @Bleach, you just advanced to level 6!

2020-02-04 23:27:52 UTC

I just don't see how a study can rule out all other variables except race- its not possible. And therefore you can't prove race was the deciding factor in the complications they talked about.

2020-02-04 23:28:12 UTC

I could say the same about the opposite

2020-02-04 23:28:33 UTC

Besides everyone is inherently distasteful to mix racing anyway

2020-02-04 23:28:42 UTC

Yes

2020-02-04 23:28:47 UTC

It’s a survival instinct

2020-02-04 23:28:55 UTC

Its instinctual to how we operated in homogenous tribes

2020-02-04 23:29:01 UTC

Okay...

2020-02-04 23:29:04 UTC

That’s good

2020-02-04 23:29:07 UTC

What. Nah mixed people are great. We get along with everyone. At least where im from thats how it is

2020-02-04 23:29:14 UTC

Okay

2020-02-04 23:29:14 UTC

Again

2020-02-04 23:29:15 UTC

Noone is saying there bad

2020-02-04 23:29:18 UTC

Anecdotal

2020-02-04 23:29:27 UTC

Im saying i dont want my children mixed race

2020-02-04 23:29:48 UTC

I want my genetics to have 100% prominent showing in my offspring

2020-02-04 23:30:17 UTC

You're missing out, genetic diversity is instrumental in long term species survival.

2020-02-04 23:30:22 UTC

if my children are mixed race then i dont care but personally it wasnt preferable

2020-02-04 23:30:24 UTC

LOL

2020-02-04 23:30:28 UTC

it actually isnt

2020-02-04 23:30:44 UTC

genetic diversity isnt really required

2020-02-04 23:30:51 UTC

Yeah
