why are changing the topic?

2019-02-27 07:08:57 UTC

I mean it still kinda has to do with colonization and soace

2019-02-27 07:09:01 UTC

Space*

2019-02-27 07:09:28 UTC

well we cant colonize a asteroid if you are talking about that

2019-02-27 07:09:40 UTC

I mean we could

2019-02-27 07:09:50 UTC

It just wouldn't have an atmosphere

2019-02-27 07:10:00 UTC

nope

2019-02-27 07:10:08 UTC

And we would have to live on shelters on the asteroid

2019-02-27 07:12:25 UTC

judging by our technology today we couldnt even start doing that, and it will be a bad idea like you said we wont have enough atmosphere or oxygen to survive or even grow food on the suface of it, living on a asteroid will be the dumbest thing I ever heard

2019-02-27 07:13:01 UTC

Live inside the asteroid<:nani:538084105892397069>

2019-02-27 07:13:18 UTC

uh what will that do?

2019-02-27 07:13:27 UTC

Simple

2019-02-27 07:14:34 UTC

If you hollow out the inside of an asteroid you basically made yourself a shelter from there you can seal it and start filling it with oxygen

2019-02-27 07:14:34 UTC

GG @Deleted User, you just advanced to level 7!

2019-02-27 07:14:53 UTC

And the rest comes later

2019-02-27 07:18:58 UTC

still it will make it inhabital to live on it, and that asteroid will not be controlled so it could travel farther then we ever know, for example that asteroid will probably leave the solar system and never return again, probably return to the asteroid belt, and we wont even have enough oxygen to keep us alive because the oxygen can escape that sealing or we will loose all oxygen and will sufficate to death of carbon dioxide, I dont think colonizing a asteroid is a good idea

2019-02-27 07:19:29 UTC

my dude

2019-02-27 07:19:55 UTC

Heckity heck

2019-02-27 07:20:34 UTC

we could mine an asteroid for a certain amount of time

2019-02-27 07:21:05 UTC

but that is not our main priority, our main priority is to colonize mars

2019-02-27 07:21:30 UTC

but living on an asteroid is out of the norm

2019-02-27 07:22:20 UTC

πŸ€”

We should at least put a colony on the Moon first

It seems like a massive skip to go from only visiting the Moon 6 times to colonising another planet

2019-02-27 08:47:35 UTC

nah making a moon base is more in our reach than like going to mars

2019-02-27 08:55:23 UTC

@Deleted User My argument to my teacher was based off a research paper I wrote with multiple links to scholary articles and studies showing the detriment of the meat industry. You literally assume everything about me fucking chill

2019-02-27 08:55:39 UTC

Mars is easily habitable if you did any sort of research

2019-02-27 08:57:45 UTC

SpaceX is sending people there in 2024-2027. A suit has been invented that protects you from the radiation and cold. A small machine has been made that converts nitrogen to oxygen and is sizeable by 100. Water is everywhere on Mars, just removing half an inch of soil will reveal ice. Someone proposed an idea to use a solar fan, which is a large reflective sheet of metal and point it at the poles of ice. It would raise temperatures and within 20 years, the poles would look like British Columbia.

2019-02-27 08:59:41 UTC

We would not necessarily live outside though. The easiest thing we can do is bring extending pods. They're compact and connect to each other, eventually we'd have a large colony of them. Realistically only scientist would be living on Mars for research but Elon said he wants to move there before he dies.

2019-02-27 09:01:43 UTC

I think the reason living on Mars is better is because within a few centuries, it would develop a stronger atmosphere and we'd have oxygen. The moon is just
...rock. Mars has oil and resources. The soil can literally be microwaved into brick, making easy building materials too

2019-02-27 10:00:58 UTC

The only reason why elites fund space exploration is so that they can escape the mess they’ve left behind. Get your own house in check before reaching for the stars.

2019-02-27 10:01:54 UTC

However, I agree that space exploration and colonisation is worth investigating and funding.

2019-02-27 12:27:50 UTC

By private corporations sure, but not by Government

We should take the billionaire money to pay for it

2019-02-27 12:39:14 UTC

I think to the extent the Government needs to be involved in space travel is really just self-defense and maintaining launch pads for private corporations, that's all

2019-02-27 12:42:00 UTC

As far stupid shit like going to Mars, it should be left to private corporations

2019-02-27 12:44:03 UTC

If that's the case then space exploration would be no where near as advanced as it now is. Private business/corporations wouldn't put a penny/cent in without being guaranteed a reasonable return on their investment which just isn't the case (just now at least) with space travel and exploration.

2019-02-27 12:56:41 UTC

Who gives a fuck about space exploration there is legit nothing out there we couldn't get on earth 1000 times easier

2019-02-27 13:09:03 UTC

:/ you taking the piss?

2019-02-27 13:11:37 UTC

There is nothing we can get from my space that is not a THOUSAND TIMES easier to get on earth.
