If you get $2k/month from subsidized housing payments
but you lose that $2k/month because you made $40k/year instead of $39k/year
then it makes sense people are addicted to welfare
Rich people are getting rich yes. but the pie it's self is getting bigger. Poor are getting the same portion but the pie it's self is bigger
The Slice is it's self
But the rich people take parts of the poor peoples pie
So the rich get richer while the poor stay poor
based
reminder that there are some people that would rather have the poor poorer provided that the rich were less richer
It's important to remember welfare rarely if ever affects productivity or employment of workers and causes more good than harm, however extended unemployment insurance can cause more harm than good when it comes to employment
However the affects on employment is very small
@Chemar but if they don't at least clean up their act they lose their benefits.
In my area, we enforce rules on who is allotted said benefits nd welfare. They must have a job, proper initiative to continue to progress their life, etc. Otherwise they get the plug pulled on them.
Politicians like bernie sanders say that shit all the time
Communists have big gay
It is
There is a reason for why the ten richest people have more than the poorest one billion people
You do realize our GPD is growing right?
we are at 57000 a year
higher than anywhere else
I mean I think it's a good sign that the poorest people in the US and UK are overweight rather than skinny
It means that, while they're not eating the best food, they are at least getting a hold of something
Compare this to nations in Central Africa, Venezuela, China, India
Where the poor are so skinny and starved, they already look like dead corpses
Weath Inequality isn't directly linked with poverty
@Chemar There's a show called This Week
Andrew Neil and Michael Portillo, along with some guests
Portillo basically destroyed this guy who thinks everyone should change to Finland (despite Finland having a similar population to London alone)
Portillo explained that many numbers which show wealth inequality are misleading as it doesn't take into account the fact that many people of the lower classes are moving up to the middle classes
Better answer
Who cares about wealth inequality
If every american from the lower class can afford a house do we care?
No
If they can afford a car do we care? No
Its only apparently when they cant afford it then we care
Does everybody really need a yacht?
