There are tons of economic theories out there, and none of them are objectively right. Some people take these theories too seriously and don't realize that they are intellectual thought experiments.

there are plenty of heterodox schools which actually start with empirical data as their assumption

which makes it far more accurate to describe reality

because humans are adaptable and they can adapt to all kinds of warped realities if they need to
