I am anti gun and thus have no interest in hunting
I love my .300BLK and i think it's better than capitalism
Well good for you
Capitalism allows you to persue different interests freely
It allows you to own hunting rifles to begin with
Hunting rifles are iffy
I personally like my milsurp
K
But there is something beautiful about an nice over-under
a capitalist who is antigun
why are you antigun?
Simply because there's way too many who get guns for cultural reasons.
List a cultural reason for purchasing a gun
I know your name
Im a mandalorian. its my religion @Children.Deserve.Cancer.REBORN
"It's my 2nd amendment right to own a gun, so I will."
"Guns are cool, I seen em on da internet and TV, I want one".
"I'm Texan, I don't know why I want one, but I do."
"I don't even live on the countryside, I will buy one anyway cuz my dad told me to"
@E2D2 don’t waste my time with such dimwitness
oof. Guess someone doesn't like the Mandalorian
Does anyone know what backs up the value of money these days? I know it used to be gold & silver back then. But now I heard it's oil? Or am I wrong?
Common belief
Google Fiat currency
@borealice taxes
@Sh0t don't confuse the poor uneducated American further
I gave the most concise answer possible
Taxes don't have anything to do with it
The taxrate could be 0
Although the people who print the money wouldn't get paid, but that's kinda a side thing lol
taxes have everything to do with his question
the taxes drive demand for the dollar
Wat.
There is no "demand" for the dollar as a trade medium. There's only demand for goods and services and money.
He asked what backs up the value of the dollar, the answer is the government and our common belief in its legitimacy and value. Taxes don't even enter the conversation.
GG @✨Skolander✨, you just advanced to level 6!
I swear talking to Americans about economics is nothing but hell.
Taxes are a major part of the conversation, thats what gives the dollar its root demand
The fact that Americans need dollars to pay taxes is what 'backs' the dollar
they also need to pay rent, food and other shit.
They do, but they can't be compelled to buy that the way they can with us dollar denominated taxes
