Makes no economic sense.
First off, we need to stop trying to stop free market in the medical field. That’s why the prices are the way they are. Secondly, atleast if you’ve money you can get the treatment which isn’t promised in Canada. Thirdly, our nation was built off, if you didn’t work you didn’t eat.
^^^^^^
We've already done free market healthcare in this country. It was a disaster.
Citation?
The late 19th century.
You said any system is better then what we have now. Is it better now or was it better before?
I need a citation
`Minimally-trained doctors opened their own medical schools as moneymaking ventures encouraged by a growing commercial and acquisitive social climate. To entice students they eliminated most of the academic requirements that had been traditional. They seldom offered any laboratory experience or taught anatomy or even required literacy for admission. To compete, even the colleges with medical schools reduced their requirements.
The diploma mills were encouraged by a public that abhorred government regulation or any interference with the rights of the common man to do as he wished. There were no licensing requirements for medical personnel or professional oversight. In the face of declining respectability, physicians, anxious to reestablish their credentials, began to use more extreme depletion methods. Their model was Benjamin Rush, who as a leading physician at the turn of the century proposed using more extreme bleeding and purging. The poorly trained could point to the dramatic effects of their therapies as a form of success.`

oh
Dude just linked me an opinion on history
I need a chart
Nobody could afford anything, the doctors were shit, the education was shit, and we ignored the latest devlopments.
Cool you’re saying all these things but where’s the numbers
What numbers would you like? Is the prospect of unqualified doctors saturating the market not bad enough?
So you’ve no numbers
Thank you, I’ll now be leaving.
What numbers would you like?
Free market cultists are always tiresome
Tiresome indeed
Still satisfying to put them in their place at times
Interesting
@bigchungis | 庞屌 @Puerto Rican Nelson Comparing healthcare from the 1800s to now is idiotic and misleading. I'm pretty sure I've already rebuked this in <#513098339961798676> before, showing *numbers* that easing occupational licensing doesn't harm quality but reduces prices.
The argument doesn't hold up; the guy above is right - if we did end up "free marketing" out system it would be more affordable.
@Dr.Cosby I'll tag you aswell
@NinjaSquirrel most of the Belarusian people don’t even want an independent Belarus.
Belarusian politics is fucked under Lukashenko
That’s why I moved to Russia as soon as I turned 17
@Deleted User them why did many take to the streets and protest when Lukashenko signed a union with russia
I moved to USA when I was 2 with my mom, but Belarus is doing good, I like ot better the here in the US
Lukashenko has ruined our relationships with Russia. Western media is making it seem as if Russia is trying to annex all these post Soviet countries. And yes Russia is an aggressor but Belarusian nationalism is a sham. it’s only a few younger people who support it
And we’re not doing good
Our economy is fucked
Lukashenko is a dictator
And know he’s fucking up our relationship with the rest of the C.I.S.
But, Lukashenko is a human
@sɪᴅɪsɴᴏᴛʜᴇʀᴇ Nice, good stuff - I'm starting to like you
