Having spent enough time in various political servers I am well familiar, I had to cut political discourse in my own community due to certain users inability to have a proper discussion

2020-01-21 00:30:42 UTC

Also, if you're fine with the ways things are handled here, and don't bash him or his policies, you'll be fine for the time being

2020-01-21 00:30:54 UTC

Dont worry, I dont get offended by things on the internet or things I disagree with

2020-01-21 00:31:15 UTC

I find disagreement intriguing and interesting to discuss

2020-01-21 00:31:46 UTC

In that case you should be fine, and always think about joining us for real, in case you realize Trump's beyond left or right

2020-01-21 00:32:53 UTC

I understand Trump pretty well, which is why I have said Im probably voting for him next election. I live in the rust belt, Ive seen enough turnaround for others and myself in this area, seen the overall impact on the US economy, seen the impact on the world at large

Best I can say is, interesting times for sure

Nope, **AJ and The Queen** is a real Netflix show supported by RuPaul.

2020-01-21 20:55:01 UTC

2020-01-21 20:59:25 UTC

Sane people know... but there're not many sane people

2020-01-22 00:35:44 UTC

It is pedophelia

This is open channel. A little if both

Was just watching Brett baier 1/22/20 on YouTube had some dem talking and someone screamed from the gallery. I can't make out what they say did anyone else catch it?

2020-01-23 14:20:48 UTC

Serious question - everyone hates the lib ownership and moderation of existing tech platforms. Everyone says they want other options that actually respect non-leftist communities. But say something like that were actually developed, and just needed to grow and attract users. What would it take to actually get people to make the switch? I'm not talking about a niche single-topic platform like TD, but a much larger ecosystem like reddit itself, just run without the authoritarian mod practices. Genuinely open to opinions on this.

2020-01-23 14:29:10 UTC

Likely it would have to be just like anything else that has blown up in the past, like FB, reddit, twitter, etc. Popular things take hold when enough people subscribe/use them. It would literally require the same type of thing

2020-01-23 14:34:21 UTC

thats the chicken/egg thing im wondering about. if no one is there, there is no content. if tere is no content, no one will join.

2020-01-23 14:36:01 UTC

seems like twitter and reddit grew from a dedicated initial user base, im just wondering if anyone has any ideas of how to create that early adopter user base.

2020-01-23 15:36:23 UTC

it kinda has to have a unique defining characteristic. FB was like myspace but official looking, twitter was instant and short news and random shit, IG was photos

2020-01-23 15:52:32 UTC

do you think a memer-friendly/gamer-friendly vibe and design would fit the bill? something with a more 'for us by us' zoomer brand to it?

2020-01-23 15:58:12 UTC

i feel like theyre the crowd i would really need to reach. early adopters, more countercultural attitudes toward the current social trends, etc. but i have no idea how to reach out and generate interest. im thinking about esports sponsorship or funding tournaments. not sure if thats a good idea or not?

2020-01-23 16:47:01 UTC

All I know is, if your idea gets you rich, remember me

2020-01-23 16:54:50 UTC

honestly riches are not the goal here. trying to gettir done for the sake of humanity.

2020-01-23 18:44:34 UTC

thats actually a pretty good idea. i might go full invite-only, and create a wait-list rather than an open signup.

2020-01-23 18:46:51 UTC

i think gamers would be great early adopters. might have to look more into sponsoring LoL tournaments and the like.

2020-01-23 18:48:12 UTC

probably makes sense to only do the rollout/beta once youve reached ~5k wait listers. that way you get a surge of traffic that can kickstart things, instead of a trickle.

2020-01-23 18:49:06 UTC

yeah i remember the facebook initial days. i was a blue collar kid and idnt go to college til much later, so was pissed off they shut me out lol

2020-01-23 18:51:43 UTC

eSports not best thing to redpill. Cos all the games are part owned/owned by china. So they will not do anything that goes against them

2020-01-23 18:56:02 UTC

not too worried about china tbh

2020-01-23 18:59:16 UTC

i have no idea how to appeal to the meme crowd though. think you need some pipehitting memers if you want any chance to succeed
