The Republican party and libertarian party have many disagreements in how things are handled, and many libertarians end up going into the republican party to garner votes
Ive mentioned it before but I have supported Ron and Rand Paul since 2008
Yet both are listed as Republicans
Rationally speaking, voting red is the only way
Can't argue with that
At this point yeah, it seems to be that way
Otherwise it seems like nothing but justifying ones point or fighting upstream
Libertarians tend to lean more to the right since it wants NO government in peoples lives and Republicans would want just less govt but with a little oversight and order within the American people and so this is what unite Repubs and Libertarians but youd allow something like legal weed and gay rights as long it doesnt hurt you personally right but sooner youll be seeing a trans man smoking weed working at a McDonalds instead of what we would see in a conservative world and see a good catholic and orderly worker at a Five Guys or In N Out place
I am not a standard far right ancom libertarian
I understand the role of government
I see a place for it
last of those political tests I took I ended up around here
do you support legalizing certain drugs?
ahh
tbh I support legalizing all drugs with a means of oversight regulating them to make them safer for people to use, and if possible setting up something from our past like shamans or safe places for people to try them
Black markets help nobody, they harm millions of lives either directly or indirectly
People are going to do things if they want to do them, and we should have systems in place to allow people to do them safely
Ruining lives because someone has some mushrooms in a bag, or because someone tested positive for a plant is absurdity
i wouldnt support it but not because it has track records of black markets rising or one person dies from drugs and everyone is to blame kinda stuff
I just support regulation like raising age to smoke or drink but with a penalty like if searching for a job youd have to list that you smoke or drink since jobs would want a more clean person but they could still be eligible
I can understand that point, but from a personal liberty viewpoint Ive done plenty of drugs in the past, harmed no one, used responsibly and I see it as a benefit to people
Legalizing won't make it better
Just look at what's happening in the Netherlands
They became a narcostate
The weed black market still exists yes, have a friend who is working in it
But its minimalized and the decriminalization aspect allows for support programs that couldnt exist otherwise
Kids drink alcohol and smoke cigs anyway, they find ways to do it
but lifting stigmas and offering support is the key bit
People kill anyways, let's legalize murder
And your friend is a drug dealer
A criminal
he sure is

So better care for the people you are friends with
I again disagree, personal liberty
No one has the personal liberty to commit a crime
If we allow alcohol and tobacco to be legal, then we must acknowledge other compounds people have been using for thousands of years
my limit is no abolishment of drugs but rather offer big funds for reform programs like drug abuse victims
> No one has the personal liberty to commit a crime
***If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.***
@DangerErin I can support that
That's beautiful and everything, but laws exist for a reason
