Even the libertarian party is split on this

2020-01-26 05:22:12 UTC

Seems to me Trump winning this year is guaranteed

2020-01-26 05:23:28 UTC

thats also a big factor on the odds of trump winning, its like all 3rd parties underestimated Trump thus causing divide within themselves since some have conservative values and some liberal, i would suggest for you to register as a republican this election because its bound to stay this way for a while

2020-01-26 05:23:40 UTC

Tbh being libertarian and only considering voting for Trump is already pretty dumb

2020-01-26 05:23:55 UTC

If y'all love liberty and defend it, voting red should be a must

2020-01-26 05:25:34 UTC

I voted for Gary Johnson in 2016, because I agreed with him most

I mentioned before Trump supporters never once blamed me for their victory or thanked me or acted like assholes, yet Clinton supporters/Jill/Sanders they all blamed me for Trump victory, because we were within the margin of error in this state

On top of that, when we look at the deals being put through, the improvements in peoples lives, especially here in the rust belt, given the alternative candidates there is really only one option currently

2020-01-26 05:25:59 UTC

@Islamic Straight I dont entirely agree, when it comes to being a libertarian like most views, there are things one must rationalize

2020-01-26 05:26:36 UTC

The Republican party and libertarian party have many disagreements in how things are handled, and many libertarians end up going into the republican party to garner votes

2020-01-26 05:27:03 UTC

Ive mentioned it before but I have supported Ron and Rand Paul since 2008

2020-01-26 05:27:29 UTC

Yet both are listed as Republicans

2020-01-26 05:27:49 UTC

Rationally speaking, voting red is the only way

2020-01-26 05:27:55 UTC

Can't argue with that

2020-01-26 05:28:01 UTC

At this point yeah, it seems to be that way

2020-01-26 05:28:24 UTC

Otherwise it seems like nothing but justifying ones point or fighting upstream

2020-01-26 05:31:01 UTC

Libertarians tend to lean more to the right since it wants NO government in peoples lives and Republicans would want just less govt but with a little oversight and order within the American people and so this is what unite Repubs and Libertarians but youd allow something like legal weed and gay rights as long it doesnt hurt you personally right but sooner youll be seeing a trans man smoking weed working at a McDonalds instead of what we would see in a conservative world and see a good catholic and orderly worker at a Five Guys or In N Out place

2020-01-26 05:31:47 UTC

I am not a standard far right ancom libertarian

2020-01-26 05:31:52 UTC

I understand the role of government

2020-01-26 05:32:00 UTC

I see a place for it

2020-01-26 05:32:44 UTC

last of those political tests I took I ended up around here

2020-01-26 05:32:44 UTC

do you support legalizing certain drugs?

2020-01-26 05:32:53 UTC

ahh

2020-01-26 05:33:21 UTC

tbh I support legalizing all drugs with a means of oversight regulating them to make them safer for people to use, and if possible setting up something from our past like shamans or safe places for people to try them

2020-01-26 05:33:39 UTC

Black markets help nobody, they harm millions of lives either directly or indirectly

2020-01-26 05:34:06 UTC

People are going to do things if they want to do them, and we should have systems in place to allow people to do them safely

2020-01-26 05:34:45 UTC

Ruining lives because someone has some mushrooms in a bag, or because someone tested positive for a plant is absurdity

2020-01-26 05:37:25 UTC

i wouldnt support it but not because it has track records of black markets rising or one person dies from drugs and everyone is to blame kinda stuff

I just support regulation like raising age to smoke or drink but with a penalty like if searching for a job youd have to list that you smoke or drink since jobs would want a more clean person but they could still be eligible

2020-01-26 05:38:09 UTC

I can understand that point, but from a personal liberty viewpoint Ive done plenty of drugs in the past, harmed no one, used responsibly and I see it as a benefit to people

2020-01-26 05:38:21 UTC

Black markets exists because people feed them

2020-01-26 05:38:28 UTC

Legalizing won't make it better

2020-01-26 05:38:36 UTC

Just look at what's happening in the Netherlands

2020-01-26 05:38:42 UTC

They became a narcostate

2020-01-26 05:38:49 UTC

The weed black market still exists yes, have a friend who is working in it

2020-01-26 05:39:09 UTC

But its minimalized and the decriminalization aspect allows for support programs that couldnt exist otherwise

2020-01-26 05:39:20 UTC

Kids drink alcohol and smoke cigs anyway, they find ways to do it

2020-01-26 05:39:29 UTC

but lifting stigmas and offering support is the key bit

2020-01-26 05:39:36 UTC

People kill anyways, let's legalize murder

2020-01-26 05:39:43 UTC

And your friend is a drug dealer

2020-01-26 05:39:45 UTC

A criminal

2020-01-26 05:39:48 UTC

he sure is

2020-01-26 05:39:52 UTC

So better care for the people you are friends with
