I think they should have modernized the Thompson. The UMP 45 has a slower rate of fire.

2018-07-11 04:15:49 UTC

The Tommy gun is a beautiful gun and if I was willing to spend $20,000 I’d buy me one. The fire rate is rediculous for something that shoots 45 acp

2018-07-11 04:17:15 UTC

Not only that but they are so iconic and a collectors item.

2018-07-11 13:01:51 UTC

one hell of a way to waste ammo

2018-07-11 13:56:05 UTC

@The GUNNY Yea. I am sticking to Semi-Auto + Bolt Action

2018-07-11 16:04:47 UTC

lmao you'll be lucky if .45 ACP goes through your enemies clothing

2018-07-11 16:07:02 UTC

Yea I would much prefer 9x39mm.

2018-07-11 16:07:14 UTC

Either that or 7.62 NATO

2018-07-11 16:07:23 UTC

or even .300 Savage

2018-07-11 18:41:15 UTC

There is only one bullet for me

2018-07-11 18:41:20 UTC

2018-07-11 20:15:52 UTC

@CC96 where are you getting 9x39? It doesn’t import into the US

2018-07-11 20:17:56 UTC

I stock 5.56, .308, 9mm, .38 special, .357 magnum, 12 gauge, 20, and .410

2018-07-11 21:45:21 UTC

.45 is the superior sidearm round for a shtf kinda scenario

2018-07-12 03:46:00 UTC

Just for show

Lmao

I don’t know if this has been discussed in here before, but full-auto is hugely overrated. There are two uses for full-auto, and they’re closely related: suppression and intimidation. When there is something spraying large quantities of bullets at you, you don’t want to leave cover, and it can be pretty spooky. However, it’s a big waste of ammo. If you have a selective fire rifle with a full-auto option, use semi anyways. From what I understand, best practice is to use two shots of semi-auto at a single target. Full-auto causes a lot of drift due to recoil, which means most of your bullets are landing around the target, not on it. Two rapid semi-auto shots will be more likely to hit your target, and most likely kill it if you do hit it. If there is anyone with formal military training that can contradict me, please do, but the info I have is from someone in the military.
