Dropped a vid in videos that i thought somewhat relevant πŸ™‚

@Rainbow Monkeys oh hey, thanks... The lord givith in wisdom.

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."

2018-10-13 11:51:38 UTC

@Sheamus Amen brother. I'd definitely recommend @Duke to take all those words to heart. Amidst all the negativity, and the rarity of wisdom; definitely recommend it.

2018-10-13 11:56:35 UTC

@Rainbow Monkeys thank you, for the recognition. I certainly hope his faith shall be restored and save him and his family, and they shall find peace in their hearts, free from fear. It certainly is not a light burden to carry, especially where he resides.

2018-10-13 12:29:53 UTC

@Sheamus Always a pleasure. In this world of low self-esteems and people being afraid to speak out about faith; that's truly amazing. People need this. People need to stay positive. It's challenging especially in this climate but people are afraid to speak up about restoring that faith - especially with his situation. I believe and always will believe that a little faith goes a long way. The fear we've got has to go away. It's limiting us from being the best we can be and enjoying every moment as it is.

2018-10-13 12:44:24 UTC

@Rainbow Monkeys Couldnt agree more with you there. "The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble." and so the proverb goes: "Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end." It is tough times for sure, and it hard for many, and will only get harder from here on out for everyone if history is anything to go by. a little faith does go a long way indeed, as JC said: "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

2018-10-13 13:21:19 UTC

@Sheamus πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ! "Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." - That's powerful right there and something we've seem to have forgotten. Look beyond the turmoil right now and strive for a better future. I believe perseverance, which are of the fruits of the spirit - are there to help one navigate through such difficult times. They do pardon the soul when read and implemented properly.

2018-10-13 13:46:37 UTC

@Rainbow Monkeys When read and implimented properly YES! I agree "Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding." It is all about the understanding, words of wisdom are of no value if it is not understood. Wisdom, "She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her." Always a pleasure to exchange words and ideas with you πŸ˜‰

@Sheamus Hahaha hahaha, sure thing, I too enjoy it. Breath of fresh air indeedπŸ’― .

MEDIA STATEMENT

17 October 2018

SAPS ARE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE SELF DEFENSE AS A REASON TO OWN A FIREARM.

Once again SAPS leadership has proven that they are not serious about the lives of citizens in South Africa. On Wednesday a draft amendment bill to the firearms control act was released. We have perused the document and are absolutely outraged at this development.

In essence what the draft amendment bill sets to achieve is the following:

Section 13 and 14 are repealed. This means that self-defense is no longer a valid reason for owning a firearm, infringing on every South Africans’ right to life. A maximum of two (2) handguns for S16 (dedicated sports shooter), and a maximum of eight (8) firearms in total. You will need a medical certificate for applications, which means a breach of the constitutional rights of citizens right to privacy, opening them up to discrimination. All green licenses, which have been found by the courts to be valid for life will have to move over to the white licensing system with the additional restrictions. The establishment of a ballistics database; knowing well ballistic testing has proven to be ineffective. Muzzleloaders are now treated like all other firearms and all semi-auto shotgun and rifles are now going to monumentally more difficult to obtain.

2018-10-17 15:46:29 UTC

😐

2018-10-17 15:46:48 UTC

The major concern we have is the right to life of law-abiding citizens. Crime is escalating at an alarming rate, whereby the criminals perpetrating these crimes are becoming increasingly violent. Taking away a means to effectively defend oneself will see to an increase in violent crimes committed against all South Africans, this cannot be allowed to happen.

We urge all law-abiding legal gun owners of South Africa to write to the chairperson of the Police Portfolio Committee, Mr. Francois Beukman expressing your dissatisfaction at this preposterous and uncalled for attack on your right to life, and the ability to protect yourself against the crime infestation we all face on a daily basis. Send your emails of concern to [email protected]

2018-10-17 15:51:32 UTC

Anyone that can maybe verify this as legit? I mean it's hard to doubt it, been attempting to disarm for so long... But yeah. Maybe should email gunownerssa

2018-10-18 12:06:27 UTC

no form of media or political party can save us its too late

2018-10-18 12:32:03 UTC

This is why it's bad to be dependent on either of them. Independence is what grants and maintains freedom.
