Communist countries 1980 and 2018
What caracal says at 40:00 is it, politicians are not chanting kill the councilors or firemen
@GhostRanger The only reason China is "communist" is because the have 1.4 billion citizens, imagine they had to allow that many people the freedom to do as they pleased..I mean we don't have to imagine we just have to look at india or Nigeria...China needs socialist tendencies to control its population, but it's economy in recent years has shifted to Capitalism
@Sheamus I'm referring to the people's Republic no one recognises Taiwan really the mainland made sure of that
@Darkseid what abaout india they are also like 1.3 bilion people? And they aren't communist.
@GhostRanger exactly why they're in such a shit state compared to China, what's it after SA they have the 2nd highest rape statistics
So you say the more the population the more left you have to be for control?
@GhostRanger nope just saying this is china's way of control
At least Indians are the ones running Google and Microsoft at the moment.
Google is located in California.
If indians ran it there be lot issues cross country with scams and more.
We only run a internet line there not server based
@midwest just honest most big websites located in California they only buy off shore buildings company meet up. Are set up server portals that as fire walls before reaching usa
But most fail
@TerryMcCain Google being located in California doesn't change anything, it's still run by an Indian, and He seems to be rather doing a great job at it.
@Rainbow Monkeys
Explain me how he is running it.
Dose this dude live in USA
Becase owner runs it
Not some random dude
Soooo
You make no since
You not looking facts before you talk
CEO
Admins
Mangers
Supervisors
Other
List gose on
@TerryMcCain Alrighty then. Here it goes. Microsoft run by Satya Nadella, he's the CEO by the way. And his turnaround structure is the one that's reshaping Microsoft especially with cloud computing he's the one who moved away from the "Windows all" vision to Windows being just a service. By the way, Phil Spencer (Xbox boss) reports to him. He lives in the U.S. of course. And Google, run by Sundar Pichai, has the highest ranking, being the CEO and he's in charge growing the company of the Alphabet Subsidiary which is Google of course. He proposed to Larry Page that Google be converted to an LLC so that Google's decisions don't affect Alphabet more than all the subsidiaries. He lives in the U.S. of course but nonetheless Indian.
@Rainbow Monkeys
We talking about google not microsoft dont change subject sir
Microsoft made no since in this
There both diffrent platforms
We was only talking about google how he'll did microsoft get in this
I looked up ceo google
----------------------
Sundar Pichai
Race: Indian American
--------------------------------
Know explain me how he'll microsoft has do anything what we talking about
Just ignore the Microsoft part of the response lol don't drag it out
Its politics what you expect
I expect you to ignore what is not relevant. You can still comment on the relevant part of the conversation then lol
You realize you were doing exactly what you were accusing that person of right? Changing the subject to Microsoft lol
@TerryMcCain I'm not changing any subject, my initial response was that Microsoft and Google are run by Indians. Scroll up and you'll see. Now you're saying Microsoft made no sense in this but if you read my response properly I specifically mentioned both the companies. But nonetheless you're saying Sundar Pichai is Indian American. What's your point? That doesn't mean that since he's an American citizen now he's not Indian. It's not a matter of choice it's a matter of origin and culture. In layman's terms, the term "Indian American" just means that he's of Indian origin but an American citizen, much like how Elon Musk is "South African-canadian-American" (I'm not changing the subject just making a reference, please note).
@Sheamus Yeah I think he misinterpreted the entire sentence, and somehow thought I was only emphasizing on Microsoft when I was actually mentioning the powers Indians hold with big conglomerates.
@Rainbow Monkeys yeah haven't really been following closely, given I'm a straight white cis gendered man, and my opinion is an irrelevant commodity these days lol. But that said, be clear on Indian, because Indian could also be a resident and citizen of India, not necessarily their race or ethnicity.
@Sheamus Lol, I think it can still count for something. But nonetheless, I did try to somewhat elaborate on that last bit of sentence. I referenced Elon Musk and tried to emphasize on the fact that he's of South African origin, regardless of race and ethnicity. Hence my explanation of Indian American that he's of Indian (the place) origin but with American citizenship. But I was trying to address his statement "
If indians ran it there be lot issues cross country with scams and more.
We only run a internet line there not server based" to give him a clear understanding that Indians are in fact running two big conglomerates and there's no destruction or any sort of scamming going on; And I went on further to explain (using Microsoft as an example) that that specific Indian improved the company so much, and Pikachu somehow took that example and turned it into the thesis of the discussion.
@Rainbow Monkeys yeah i get that... But the American Indian is idealogically American and westernized though, so it can still be confusing depending on how you define Indian, because the American Indian to me is just a brown American to me lol, same with South African Indian is a brown South African among the white and black South Africans.
I wouldn't really hammer too much on the identity though, because it's not the identity that shapes you, it's the ideas that you embrace, and the surrounding ideas that influence you. Scammers and such illegal activities are prone to occur where there is high amounts of unemployment and too much red tape to offer accessibility to the limited opportunities, and also population size only magnifies this issue. So it's no surprise that such dodgy practices can flourish in India knowing a bit about the country. That said, certainly isn't the only country with those observable variables.
Only critique really is, why turn the focus of the argument on the identity specifically.
