Communism in Russia. In Russia, communism began after Tsar Nicholas II lost his power during the February Revolution. The Provisional Government was established under Prince Lvov, however, the Bolsheviks refused to accept the government and revolted in October 1917, taking control of Russia.

Stalinism. In 1924, Joseph Stalin, a key Bolshevik follower of Lenin, took power in the Soviet Union. Stalin was supported in his leadership by Nikolai Bukharin, but he had various important opponents in the government, most notably Lev Kamenev, Leon Trotsky and Grigory Zinoviev.

2024 Russian presidential election. ... The term limit established by Article 81 of the Russian Constitution prevents incumbent president Vladimir Putin from being elected to a new term. The 2024 election will determine the fifth President of Russia. The winner of the election is scheduled to be inaugurated on 7 May 2024.

Socialism is at its core an economic philosophy, whereas Communism is economic and political in its requirement that government be the central owner and decision maker in all matters. Communism rejects any religion and in a true Communist state religion is effectively abolished.

2019-09-21 16:47:58 UTC

Religion will die on its own

2019-09-21 16:48:21 UTC

2019-09-21 16:49:08 UTC

In all, three individuals have served four presidencies spanning six full terms. In May 2012, Vladimir Putin became the fourth president; he was re-elected in March 2018 and inaugurated in May to a six-year term.
