it's more complex than a finite amount
Iβm talking about your average joe
*sobs*
things like tortoises live so long because they have super slow heart beats
And you gotta be well over 7 feet to take in more than 4000 calories a day to survive
Wrong
mice have super fast heart beats
if you don't sit on your ass all day can definitely do that
And if you have so large muscles you need over 4000 calories a day to keep em up you are definitely unhealthy
I'm 6'2 and about 200ish pounds and I need about 3500 calories a day
Yea thatβs pretty normal
to not lose weight
given my exercise routine
Yea makes sense
if I go on a long run I can pretty easily need 4000
regardless, you will still not live as long as someone that needs less generally
Yea but would you need to eat 4000 calories a day?
If I worked a more physical job probably yes
Then you would be unhealthy
No doubts about that
I don't work 10-12 hours
You canβt say that working a very physically demanding job is healthy for you
I would have to exercise less
I do the equivalent of office work anything else would be more
Towards the finite beats thing
resting heart rate is linked to morbidity
athletes tend to have lower resting heart rates
extremely muscular people I guess would have higher ones?
I mean
Those kind of athletes run a lot
And do similar stuff to that
Like swimming
Their risk of heart attack is from over-exertion
Biking
Etc
Is pretty high
Some people will kill themselves at like 24 trying to run too much
Yup
Marathoners moreso
