Railguns would probably create less heat than traditional firearms which is important for space force infantry

Well lazers will be very popular in space id reckon, and missiles

And railguns would be the equivalent of a musket vs a crossbow. Id imagine electricity plus some material for rounds is cheaper than nrining up alot of traditional ordinance.

the interesting thing about lasers is the ultimate defense against them is just to polish the shit out of your ship

so all ships designed for warfare will have a mirror-finish, making lasers completely ineffective lol
