If you want a fine doctor, you do not get your community together and vote on who should be a doctor.
You gather individuals and put them through rigorous training, instill them with a universal code of ethics, and institute extensive self-policing and an egalitarian system of promotions.
And be honest: Can a Monarchy be any worse than a Merkel/May gouvernment? Or the Swedish one?
ye
Absolutely.
But, like, not usually.
You'd have to have an incredibly consolidated central position with a very marginalized aristocracy.
Oh crap, I totally forgot Josef S. and the Chairman...
or some Theocratic shit.
but then again, those types usually come to power due to violent actions that killed many people.
like a Revolution.
a Monarchy seemed to happen naturally.
kinda like a village elder, just on a bigger scale
And imperial Germany was a pretty new state anyway as most of Germany was split for centurys. Only Bismarck united Germany a couple of decades earlier. before that most of the German Power was Prussia.

"Upstart Prussians and their pretensions of legitimacy."
In the United States, can you legally purchase a long gun in another state (one in which you are not a resident)?
Maryland’s a butt about guns, so I wonder whether I can purchase a long gun in North Carolina & keep it there (in a summer home).
Federally yes, last I heard, but local laws may apply
Probably best to look it up proper beforehand
I'm not an American, much as I'd like that, so best to take my advice with a grain of salt
Yeah, some states as long as you have ID its good.
I think some, it has to be local ID.
Some you only need local ID for private purchases
Two most messed up things in USA, drinking laws and gun laws.

Interesting design. Too bad it's probably a piece of shit.
@Miss Direction I bought one of those a few years back for like 100 bucks lol. Kicks like a mule, but shoots on point every time. The only issue I've had with mine is a sticky bolt. Other than that, it's reliable and really fun to shoot.
I purchased one this morning, @EndangeredProdigy. 😁
Was yours caked in cosmoline like mine was?
if it is, just give the metal a good mineral spirit bath and stick the wood parts in a trash bag and put the bag in a hot place to make the wood sweat the cosmoline out
there are a few guides online that tell you how to do it
Only reason to remove cosmoline is if you need it as personal lube
Lol that stuff smells horrible man I couldn't handle leaving it on there any longer than a day
I ordered a 91/30 with a Izhevsk round receiver online this morning; it has yet to arrive, @EndangeredProdigy.
Nice. I love that rifle and the rounds aren't too expensive if you get the surplus cans
