I want the work I'm doing to actually have a purpose

I made that decision when I worked as a car salesman

you wanna talk about soul sucking

go do that

ive seen those guys from the outside

it didnt seem like my thing

it's a horrible career

some people are good at it

but the bullshit dude

omg

your coworkers ACTIVELY try to steal your clients

and the money that you do make usually ends up getting split up between your bosses and the financial manager

so you barely get anything out of the sale

and you also work on a reserve

which means that you have to earn a certain amount before they actually start paying you

well thats nice

I lost money working there

worked 10 hours a day 6 days a week and made 4 bucks an hour

they could get away with that because "commissions"

but the commissions didn't mean anything because you couldn't make shit off of the cars they were selling

I sold a car and made 60 bucks off it

the car was 30k

they bought it for 19k

but anyone who handled my paperwork got a cut of the sale

so they sent the paperwork literally around the office so all of the senior staff touched the packet

needless to say I quit after 2 months of dealing with that

and went straight back to school for cybersecurity lol

dear god

thats fairly horrifying

well, cybersecurity is a needed field

yeah I'm happy with the choice

So in order to buy a rifle in my home state, i need to git licened figure printed, and interviewed, or I can drive 20 mins to virgina and buy one today with a back ground check and a 3 day wait.
