and yes, that sort of treasury department policies is why massive social programs don't work well, because you either have to generate money, inflating the currency and making everyone poor

or charge people masses in taxes

and since Bush/Obama era massively grew FEDERAL jobs, by which people pay taxes from jobs that are paid for with taxes, they'll get inflation

here in the netherlands, i get taxed 52%

In america for the same amount of "earning" i'd get 22% taxes

well i'm talking taxation as a way to generate money for government programs

government can get money in 2 ways:
- Taxes
- Printing money, causing inflation

both make the people poor

and taxes just suck in general

they charge poor people like 30%, and then give them government subsidiaries to stay afloat economically

so, we'll take your money, deduct administration fees, and now give you a smaller amount back that you still need to survive

the dutch government had to decide to support or veto a European program to assist Ukraine after that Russia/Crimea incident

and the people called a referendum vote here

and the "no Ukraine support" won

next thing the government decides to ignore the referndum because its non binding, and now wants to remove it at all because "It gives the people the idea they're not being listened to"

I don't know WHY she's mad at me...

but that right wing party was founded 2 years ago, joined only in last years election

now its the 2nd largest party in the country, so hopefully next election the Netherlands will become right-wing
