Actual historical context: The Jewish theocracy in the time of Jesus had essentially what amounts to political parties.
There was the House of Hillel, and the House of Shimei.
Shammai was in power, and Jesus was a Jew that sided with Hillel.
To say that 'Jews killed jesus'
would be like, if the democrats were in power, and had Donald Trump executed (crude example, I know)
saying, in 2000 years, that The Americans killed Donald Trump.
