slavery isint the only factor in why america was the fastest growing nation in history, but it is a huge part of it. and the contribution of slaves toward the nation is why african americans had right to be citizines of the united states after the civil war
I disagree with you.
also would have cost a shit ton of money to send 4 million people to another country at no profit
i dont care if you agree with me or not aussie
It would have cost less to free all the slaves and send them to Liberia than one year of the civil war alone.
your not american and you dont just demonstrate a lack of understanding of my country but a contempt to try and understand
for that your not worth my time anymore
Do you know what the Amercian colonization society was?
👌🏿
Since you don't I'll tell you. It was a society which wanted to free the black slaves and send them to Liberia which they helped establish. One of their most famous member was James Monroe who was such an influential member that the capital of Liberia to this day is called monrovia after him. There were many people who saw that blacks and whites are different and that it was a back idea for blacks to stay in America insted of helping the free blacks build their own country. Som things are more important then profit like having a harmonious couuntry. https://www.britannica.com/topic/American-Colonization-Society
Even Lincoln though blacks should live with their own people in Africa.

yeah i know about that dumb shit
i didint spend the last 2 hours arguing with you about why that shouldent happen without knowing about it
How is it dumb? They want what's best for their country and are helping the blacks at the same time it's a win, win situlation.
@Arch-Fiend I will compromise on the previous discussion. slave owners **profited** off the back of slave labor. Which to them, was beneficial. However, it is debatable that it was to the south's overall benefit.
it was to the souths overall benefit unless you want to argue subjectively
it did lead to less population due to less land being avalible for living space, the best land being utilized for large plantations
there wernt a lot of poor southerners
I'm not arguing subjectively, I'm arguing objectivity and objectivity it was bad not only for America but very bad for the south.
there wernt a lot of southerners in general
poor southerners lived in areas that couldent be farmed for the most part
nigga i aint arguin with you
just like its probably not to everyone's benefit for the corn industry to get the subsidies they do as it is killing small farms and large, monolithic corporate corn farms are horrendous on the environment.
so chill
@everyone Ice88#3397 is someone trying to get you to join this "server" https://discord/(.)me/antifa666, do not click it.. its a trap.. tell other servers you are in, or not.. just a heads up
why would i want to join an antifa discord?
If you wanted to troll them or something like that.
that would require them having intelligence
though i supose it could be that super wealthy southern plantation owners would have had slaves for so many tasks that the only expences they would really spend would be for foreign goods most of the time. basicly it might be the rich never bought locally
which ok maybe an arguement could be made that slavery wasent good for the south, but for the entire nation, it had an overall positive effect on the development of the nation
@Arch-Fiend You retard you just can't admit your wrong can you. It takes a big man to admit when their wrong but it takes a civic nationalist to be belineded by ideology and double down on their retared ideas.
the hell are you talking about? i just admited that there may be an arguement slavery wasent good for the south
because someone presented an arguement that was good
@Deleted User if someone is coming around to admitting that maybe your argument has some merit to it, calling them names is generally not a smart move.
it tends to undo all the work you just did
just for future reference
