New /v/ was good for a while and then people fled to new /vg/
But yeah I've seen some completely batshit bans on /a/
Meanwhile /tg/ remains pure
Ive been out of 4chan for a while, mostly. The last board I was very active in was /biz/
The actual solution to all your issues with other boards is to just go to /tg/. Dungeon Meshi threads, STALKER threads, history threads, religion threads. The only problem is that 4/tg/ didn't split quests and 8 is a little too small
but it was taken over by crypto now
I heard about that
on the first year of /biz/, there was actual rich people there giving advice about stocks, investments, starting a business, etc
now it's just crypto shilling and nothing else
There are two degenerative trends on image boards and one fatal flaw
speaking of crypto shilling, where is our resident crypto shill?
dont derail this
we already derailed enough by talking about 4chan 😂
One is "people don't understand the filter is not sincere". See: "/v/ hates games"
Two is getting overrun
The fatal flaw is getting 1984'd by mods in an attempt to prevent this
The only way to keep post quality is to be nomadic and obscure
>The only way to keep post quality is to be nomadic and obscure
this
so much
it hurts
but that's the thing, you can have a big community, but it still needs to be "kinda" niche
Wherein it seems like the normal methods of growth and stagnation lead to an overabundance of people who are not terribly interested in the original key principles, or contributing to larger works
This is also, going back to imageboards, probably why /tg/ is one of the more productive boards
I hate that article
What the hell do they mean by muggles?
imo that article is shit
and they give names to shit that make nosense
that article is really bad to explain 4chan boards for example
it fits for fashion and music groups though
fighting entropy is a losing battle
and technology constantly speeds up the rate of entropy
That TES furry actually wrote good articles on 4chan
being "nomadic", or in other words "constantly moving" is the only way to really keep things "consistent". As entropy takes down the old which you have built, you are in the process of creating something new. At some point the old and the new will have been brought to equal levels, and once the old has completely fallen to entropy, it is time to move on.
in this way, you fluctuate around a axis, that axis is your consistency

Surely efficiency has a roll to play here. Like instead on making an axe out of a stone every week I can spend a week to make an axe that lasts a year?
Info > site it's posted on
i'm just joking because its tumblr
It belongs to a "drawfriend"
