I need help
I can't deal with this people
they are TOO LEFTY
the topic is, they think education entities should judge people on their ideology
and not merit
Is this even true?
you can treat people based on ideology in the US?
This is illegal in Europe at least
are they shitting me?
Federally it depends on the ideology, like religion would be illegal, other than that it depends on the state
I do know that political leaning is not a protected class.
It is protected in some places.
DC being one if I’m not mistaken.
is it ok if it's done in Universities though?
like, the example was a guy that was denied for following someone on Twitter
I saw that headline. I find it hard to beleive that that was the reason given,
Legally OK, or do we consider it OK?
I don't think they care much about the legality of it considering one said it's only illegal if they get caught
They're stupid for not realizing that the same argument applies for a 'no darkies' rule
I don't believe rejecting someone based off ideology is illegal. Nor do I think it should be. Freedom of association
Plus, why would you want to go to a place like that?
dude helvetica standard is the best
I think businesses should be able to fire you for whatever reason. As @Grenade123 said, freedom of association
Just opens up a market for centrist Universities
Well, more likely centrist trade schools
If you're a young person, go into trades
They're already in high demand because most kids go to university
You can make a shit ton of money being a plumber, electrician, welder, etc
^
Welding especially
Learn it
Then master it
And, boy, you're in for a stable, well-earning job
career, even
Def
Need the body for it
I only know basic welding
Started messing around with it around 12 years old
I also took a shop class in middle school
